To prune beefsteak tomatoes, trim the side branches so that the main branch will get thicker and produce more flowers. Never prune tomato plants more than one-third at a time, and consider advice from a sustainable gardener in this free video on gardening.

Its the 'Mime' of tomato pruning 🙂
she's a waste of space
Waiving with your hand does not help, what would you say if someone thought you to drive a car standing in front of you and doing those "magic" passes. 1.13 seconds of BS
Thanks for the information young lady. I needed to know how to make my tomatoes a lot larger. I am one that seriously enjoys a good tomato sammich and don't really like small slices.
Also, when do I start the pruning process? I just transplanted 3 tomato plants that only have maybe 5 branches total. 2 are near the bottom; should I go ahead and prune those lower ones now?
