“You don’t need a yard to have a garden. You just have to get creative with the space you have. If you have a patio or balcony, you can have a garden. Even if all you have is a window, you can grow some food. All your plants need is some sunshine and a little love.” ~ P. Allen Smith

I have learned so much from this video! I didnt know hydrangeas could be grown in containers and also that cannas liked wet feet. That solved some problems I'm having. Two questions also – what are you going to do with the hops? Also is that a fern on the wall behind you in the segment when you plotted the hydrangeas?
Great video and thank you for sharing 🤗🤗
Thank you Allen, this video is very helpful for me. I have many plants to plant pretty much the ones you showed hot to plant. Thank you again.🙂
Like K March, I learned a lot too. For example, what you make look so easy, well I can make really difficult. And where is Hank Kimball when you need him? My potatoes are healthy but are drooping. I either just have a plant or vine potatoes. I didn't know they grew on a vine. And my mystery bulb crop is doing nothing. Oh well, perhaps green acres isn't the place to be but I will keep trying. Thank you Lisa Douglas, you inspire me. Oh, and you do too Allen, just in a different way.
Cheers from the balcony farm.
Love the wheelbarrow idea!
Such great tips! Thanks and stay connected guys, I want to see your channels guys, just comment :)✌💚🍅
Can you make a video, how to make cucumber trellis?
Excellent choice of plants! I absolutely agree with all of your selections and have each of them in my yard!
Great info.I am wondering why no one ever mentions Evening Primrose Plants,I just love them!!!!
My Mom planted hydrangeas in the front yard when I was a child. She wanted big blue blooms from the regular pink she had. She poured some laundry blueing into the ground for the roots to soak up. They DID! Those were fascinating when it happened. I learned how plants have a vein system with that. The flowers had a lot of all blue petals, but some had blue veins in the pink petals. Wish I had a picture of them. <3
Love.. Love …. Love! I live on your channel to nourish my gardener soul; I'm well fed here 🙂 ♡
You're my gardening guru, and I steal your ideas and blend them with my own! SPECTACULAR! Keep watching folks, you can't go wrong!
Always love when you reach in and grab a bite from your garden 🙂
Hello from Yorktown, Virginia. On an unrelated note, I am thinking about weedeating a large patch of English ivy and periwinkle groundcover. However, I have heard that could cause it to spread into our lawn. I have a bad back these days, so I can't pull it up by hand, and I can't use chemicals on our lawn. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Good video packed with useful info…. Thanks!
P. Allen Smith thank you for reigniting my love for gardening. We live in an apartment and recently purchased a burning bush for our balcony. We get all 4 seasons with the winter going as low as -40 C. We bought the burning bush tree for its year round appeal (hoping it will limit the dangers being an invasive plant since it’s kept in a container in our balcony). However, I recently discovered that this plant can be poisonous for dogs. Could you please confirm if in fact that’s true? Thanks so much.
I’m loving your channel! Thank you for inspiring us all, especially in this difficult time. I have an older wheel barrow that I use all the time, just as you described! It sits unused most of summer. Not any more! I planted some radishes and a green pepper plant in it yesterday and put it in a charming place in my garden. I’m so excited! I also had just planted some cannas in containers, a tad too deep so I made that adjustment. I had no idea how much they love water! Thank you thank you! 💜
amazing plants Allen there gorgeous I just can't help myself when It comes to plants I guess you could call me a plant nut lol.
