It’s nearly Spring…meaning it’s time to think, speak and do gardening.

  1. I have to wait for the snow to disappear before I even think about putting a few vegetables in the ground.

  2. We call those type of daffodils "scrambled eggs" here in NC. I have some in my yard also. Nice place Joe. Enjoyed the video. Thanks.

  3. Ohhh, everything looks like what I cant wait to see here in UpState New York in the Adirondacks! We are getting yet another snow storm tonight ๐Ÿ™ we have had over 85 inches of snow where I am! Stick a fork in me IM DONE! Lovely video ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Trou Built, it used to be here! It was all here at one time. Same as Gloversville made everyones gloves! Schenectady with the general electric…they have all sold out and moved abroad.

  5. Great Video Joe! I am just starting my garden now. I live right outside of Jacksonville Arkansas, I dont have any fruit trees yet but you are being an inspiration to do so. Blessings!

  6. @GMPNY,
    Gail.
Last night I stumbled across your "Faces On Grave Stones" vid. It was cool, so I subscribed to your channel, something I don't often do.
Trust me, I know about New York State snow. I grew up there…and left over 40-years ago. But I do miss those mega- thick Yankee style pastrami sandwiches, genuine hard salami, homemade Italian sausage and grilled hard rolls, but the south is where it's at for me.
But I wish someone would put up a diner around here. :=)

    Regards,
    John

  7. @twinkier2,
I'm over in Conway. We lived in Jacksonville for several years.
Go ahead and pick up and plant a couple fruit trees. They grow pretty fast and the flowers look cool in the Spring. Heck, you might even get some fruit off them. :=)
    Thanks for stopping by.

    Regards,
    John

  8. @GMPNY,
    Gail,
You know, there really isn't any problem with an American company moving it's manufacturing overseas. The problem arises when those same companies export back to the U.S their now cheaper made goods and undercut the companies that never left, each day driving more and more of them out of business.
How is it that our political leaders don't see this? Maybe they can't see the forest for the lobbyist money.
    Thanks for dropping in.

    Regards,
    John

  9. @Localmode,
In Arkansas we call "scrambled eggs" "scrambled eggs"…and we eat em. And we gobble up the chickens, too…Tyson Foods and all that. :=) Busch Beer, a tub of chicken wings and a bottle ofTexas Pete Hot Sauce. It don't git no better n that.
Thanks for the visit. Please do come again.

    Regards,
    John

  10. @vener6,
In the city gardening can be done in pots. We haven't always lived in the country, and have grown some pretty nice tomatoes in a large plastic pot. Give it a try.
    Thanks for watching.

    Regards,
    John

  11. @UmaBlinky,
We don't want or need any moles around this place. They're a big problem where my son lives. He's been fighting a "Mole war" for years.
I appreciate you stopping in again.

    Regards,
    John

  12. @GeoN0JRJ,
I think you're right about my neighbor's tree being a Bradford Pear. My neighbor is one of these down-home, slow-talking, dyed in the wool Arkansas good 'ol boys…mustache drooping down both sides of his mouth and all that. He just let's things grow wherever they pop up on his property. Last summer one of his horses keeled over and died, so he brought in a back-hoe and buried it right where it had fallen. No sense in wasting energy.
    Take care, my friend.

    Regards,
    John
