Topping Pepper Plants to Encourage Growth. Container Gardening. Saturday Tip of the Week. A great way to encourage growth in your pepper plants and to increase yield is to top and prune them. This forces the plant to put energy towards making new branches rather than growing taller.

One tip, and I am not making you uncomfortable, could you please put on gloves when you're touching plants?
Can you do a video that possibly shows how to have an out door garden? Can you share what type of containers and how deep they need to be and how often you need to water these plants. Thank you I enjoy your videos!
I know nothing about plants although I would love to learn. Was wondering what did you do with the part you clipped off?
I really like the garden segments!! I bought 3–4 ft tall troughs to plant vegetables about 2 years ago. I have not had luck with anything I planted. The tomatoes or peppers I bought with fruit starting developed but no more flowers for more!!! I am trying this year but after this it will become a flower cutting for the house troughs!!!
Great information Amy.
Awesome! My husband and I love our garden and we love watching your videos
Thank you for hard work!
Hi Amy&Eric!!! Your peppers are really looking good. Nice tip I never knew that. They look so…good and healthy. Have a wonderful day today. A fan&friend. DiDi
I didn't know that either!
Thanks for the tip. Looking forward to seeing what you will cook with the peppers once they have grown. I do like stuffed whole peppers char grilled. 👍
All we need now are some pot belly pigs, a burro or two, and a chicken.
