  1. I am here laying on my couch watching you cook and prep food. It’s so very relaxing for me. I love the music you add to your video. Although I don’t have room for a garden here in my home in San Diego, you’re teaching me many useful cooking methods. Thank you for what you do!

  2. Hello kaye, oh just loved this video, lots going on ,mmmmm, that squash yum yum,you really h5been busy thankyou kaye and for not rushing with the things you are teaching, great jars too.thankyou kaye, hello kitties, linden and your mum,.oh!well done too.xxxxxheather and my girls (chickens) xx

  3. Sedgefield Maine passed a Food Sovereignty law in their town. They went on to introduce a Food Sovereignty law to their state constitution. Is worth checking your towns laws to see if you have a "Food Sovereignty" on the books.
Everyone needs to verify your towns laws. Important to make sure they aren't passing laws to keep you from planting a garden on your own property.

  4. Been doing the same here, only I am adding proteins that our bodies NEED, and that the satanists want to replace with disease and parasite carrying BUGS! HOW INSANE IS THAT DEPRAVITY? We all need to GO BACK to eating HEALTHY because they are trying hard to KILL US. You should dehydrate as much as possible, because it is lightweight, and takes ninety percent less space, and if we had to head out fast, we could carry ninety percent MORE than if canned in glass…dehydrated goods go great in cleaned plastic jugs.
Maybe in your next vid, remind people to talk to THEIR city councils about passing FOOD SOVEREIGNTY LAWS in THEIR cities! WE NEED THIS! God bless and protect those who serve Him in Jesus' name.

  5. You have been busy ! My grandson has asthma and there is a farmers market that sells raw cows milk. I’m going to buy some today! Thanks for the information! XO

  7. … Hi Kaye … do you ever do pickled okra ? … they are very addictive!, especially if you retain their crunchiness …

  8. In a previous vid, you were fumbling around trying to remember something about "bones" to repel deer from your garden ~ That would be BONE SAUCE, which you can buy from Billy from Perma Pastures Farm (on you tube), $50 for a small jar. I pound a few furring strips( about 3' long) around my raised beds-I use a total of 5 spread out around). I use a small paint brush (1"?) to paint the sauce along top 2/3 of the furring strips, and it has repelled deer and rabbits. (This year I'm using pieces of shims as I haven't been able to get to the lumber store). The stuff is a result of distilling bones, and seems to repel herbivores that tend to ravish a garden! Good stuff! Just make sure you wear gloves and keep it off of you as it can smell terribly! 🙂

  9. Don't feel like you need to apologize for your home !! funny they are putting cricket powder in things look it up !!! I love having found you and your videos!! God Bless you!

  10. The initiative to change the definition of animal abuse in Oregon didn't even make it to the ballot. The sponsors of the initiative withdrew the petition themselves back in March.

  11. I really admire how you care for yourself as a single woman. Many just don’t bother cooking for themselves. You are such an inspiration Kaye!

  12. I love banana squash with butter, salt and pepper, Yummy.
    Kaye you garden looks great!

  13. Don’t ever apologize for a messy kitchen when your canning. You are providing food for yourself and family. I have been running 4 canners putting up our harvest so you should see my kitchen. I’ve been doing grape juice, jelly and started our wine fermenting. We grow large vegetable, herb and medicinal gardens each year and preserve by using all methods. We also have chickens and ducks for meat and eggs. We started picking figs last week but some critters have been snatching them . We are freezing and dehydrating them. I was raised on raw cows milk on our farm. I really wish I could buy it now. I really like your juicer I put my grapes on the stove and heat under a boil until I ready to drive. If you like fried okra you can dip it in egg after slicing and then into cornmeal and lay on cookie sheets freeze then put in freezer bags you can also do the same with fried green tomatoes. Do you have persimmons , hickory nuts and black walnuts. I really enjoy watching you and yes the old time ways are the best, staying out of worldly ways are so much better. Take care, God bless.

  14. Kaye, you can, can your squash, as you would Sweet Potatoes. You can also dehydrate your Squash by cutting it into small squares. I started dehydrating squash about 15 years ago, I then store it in glass jars for use in soups, casseroles and spaghetti. Placed into broth or sauces while your cooking will rehydrate your Squash.
You have many Harvest Blessings this year. I'm happy for you.

  15. Your videos r full of great info. I'm in a condo now & using every bit of available space for planting with containers. 💜 Thank you, Denise from CT🇺🇸

  16. Great video Kaye !! I had no idea how beneficial raw milk could be.. wow.. love learning from you..& Darrell too!

  17. Well I don't think any calf died drinking mom's milk. These a holes Don't want us healthy. A cure means a lost customer, and they will do anything to stay on the gravy train. It's our bodies, our choices rule!!

  18. Well, my grandmother DID DIE from drinking raw cow's milk. Fannie Lee Scroggins, age 27 in Fentress County TN was pregnant with her fourth child died a terrible death in 1931. It is a long sad story but her other three daughters, age 7, 4 and a toddler ended up in an orphanage in Yorktown, Indiana. My Aunt Hazel, 7 told me her heartbreaking memories of her Mother's last few days. My Mom who was four had told me her last memory of her Mom when I was only a child. Seeing her wooden box/casket in the back of a wagon leaving their log cabin home. My Mom refused to drink any milk her entire life but she loved everything else dairy. Fannie Lee died of Campylobacter and she probably was only drinking the milk to nourish her unborn child since she had three other children to feed. This had a profound effect on my Mother's and two Aunts entire lives. Folks should do extensive research before drinking raw cow's milk. And that is all I will say about this.

  19. Sorry about another comment but I am laughing with you….Canning tomato juice, taking down swimming pool, tending to my turkey poults, freezing kale for chicken fodder (just in case) Kitchen is a mess!!!!!!

  20. I just LOVE you Kaye, i give you a lot of credit starting a homestead all by yourself. It's a 24/7 job all year, planting, harvesting and preserving. Wow on your banana squash, I'm in NC and years back tried to grow one but those vine borers kept it small. What i love about your videos, it's so true to life, the triumphs and learning. Just like me, you like to have a lot of irons in the fire. I find it helps me work more efficiently. This time of the year, a commercial kitchen with 8 burner stove would be nice LOL. Try to pick those figs before they crack open too wide bc ants will be all over them. Sometimes better to get them slightly before totally ripe. My chickens would get the ant figs. You're so beautiful and one COOL woman. Happy for you doing what you love, gardening is so gratifying.

  21. I agree about raw dairy and how it's good for you. Our grandparents drank it without repercussions and strive on it. It got some through the depression! You've encouraged me to find some in my city. And there's one nearby! Thanks!
