—————————————-—————————————-————————
I’ve lived in this house for almost 2 months now & it’s the end of July so it’s just too darned hot to do much work outside. It’s good to live in your new environs for a while before springing into action, unless of course your new house is covered with blackberry brambles or some sort of rampant ivy.
By doing this you can really see how the sun moves, if there’s anything funky going on & how you want to use your garden. I’ve changed my mind about a few things so I’m glad I didn’t dive right in!
I needed to figure out what I wanted my garden to do and how I wanted to use it, & I got that nailed down pretty quickly. I want a place to play in (I consider working with plants playing & not working!), to dine & relax in, to further delight the abundance of wildlife around here & a little section to grow some food in.
You know I’ll be keeping you in the loop about all happenings here in my new desert garden. I look forward to sharing all my pruning and planting escapades with you. I hope it inspires you to get out in the garden and make the world a more beautiful place!
Hugs from my garden to yours,
Nell

Thanks so much for sharing all your plans for your wonderful new garden Nell, it looks amazing already and I LOVE your ADORABLE Kitty 🙂 thanks so much for sharing and sending you heaps of love and happiness from right across the Emerald Isle for a BRILLIANT day XXXXX <3
Hey Nell, cute dress! Love hearing about your plans for the garden. I'm looking forward to seeing the changes. I'm curious, as far as inside, have your house plants adapted well to the move with the change in climate, humidity and all? Oh yes, your kitty is darling. 🙂
Can't wait to see what you do with your garden!
Nell has legs to die for!!
Nell, your new place looks absolutely GREAT :-0 I can definitely see why you wanted to move there! I've never been to Arizona, and I've always thought of it as being just a dry desert . . . I now see how wrong I was! <blush> Very interested in seeing how you develop your garden, and really glued to my seat now 😉 (btw, do you have your own well or do you have city water? just curious). Congrats on 7,000+ subscribers and thumbs up as always, Norfolk Joe xxox
Hi, I love you channel so much! I have a question. So a while back I got a grafted cactus, and the top started to die so I cut it off. Now there is this giant arm coming form it, and it is getting really big. What should I do? Someone told me to take off the arm because it is going to make the cactus fall over. I just don't know what to do! Should I put something there to make it stay up? Thank you 🙂
Looks like paradise to me 🙂 Thanks for sharing, and look forward to see how it unfolds!
I adore the pillars!!! Looking forward to your changes!

Very interesting because we have a similar climate in Western Australia and a lot of plants are the same as Tucson.
Nell i love the way your developing your thoughts and go with what is around.

I love your idea, most of all I love that dress you are wearing!
God you're beautiful! Such a graceful lady… And you're hot! but other than that, lovely home, garden and plants.
Wat is buggs?
How cold do you have in your winter
do you have a video tour of your garden since you updated it? I cant find it. 🙂
I love it. So much privacy and Plants! 😄
Nell, The Nandina is a very pretty plant and really nice with all the red berries it has.. Someone has cut it back and they need to stop chomping it down. It is a tall bush so the red berries can hang and that does make it very pretty. I hope you reconsider getting rid of the one you have. I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing.
