I just new that’s what Matt was about to say “when u chose ur mate” 😂and can I just say ur so beautiful and Matt is so handsome y’all need to bottle y’all’s water or something lol ❤
Lovely video, Thankyou so much. 🥰🇬🇧
Y'alls place is set up…. You have done a great job!! 😊👍
Pam says- I saw a European youtuber making stuffed leaves with their bell pepper leaves. They blanched the leaves with boiling water, then filled them with cooked sausage mixture and rolled them and cooked them like cabbage rolls. Your leaves were of just the size she used.
Love this thank you for sharing.
Tipper I just love watching you and Matt. Y'all are very humble and hard working people. LOVE your stories of your dad and the past. WHAT a special life you live. I am envious. The popsicle breaks are great. What brand popsicle do you buy and where do you get them? The coconut and raspberry ones look so yummy. Tipper I have heard you mention your brother's and have seen Paul playing music with the girls, does he have a family and married?Would you at some time show your older brother and his family and Paul and his family?Does Matt have siblings?Y'all are so family oriented just would be nice to see who y'all talk about at times. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I truly enjoy watching. 😊
I love your stories and tend to tune in while eating lunch…today was a bacon sandwich with greens and peppers from the garden. Here in NW Arkansas, my garden is almost spent and the leaves are turning. Nature's way of telling me to slow down. Thanks for spending lunch with me!
Are y’all in TN?
I feel like we had a porch visit. A good porch visit. The first frost is always a bitter-sweet event. Godspeed to you all!
“Ours might not be neat as a pin.” ….Ponders his next words….. “No.” Good choice, husband….good choice.
We just had our chimney cleaned and loaded up on wood for the winter, but we won’t start a fire until it’s cold during the day and the night. We have electric heat too but we turned the AC off the first night it was cold and have had the windows open since.
Our wood stove will heat our whole house throughout the winter and we save so much money during the winter by not having the electric heat on.
I love this time of year the best. 😊
One of my favorite fall afternoon memories is sitting with my grandpa on his and gramma’s back patio eating fresh Brussels sprouts with just a sprinkle of salt. 😊
Thanks for sharing your video. I really enjoy hearing your stories.
Would love a hunting video or two
A man who can do all that AND can clean out y'all's chimney? That's what I call a GOOD CHOICE (when you chose to marry) ! 👏🏼 🤗 Both of you are so capable, I'm always admiring of and inspired by your example. Thank you Tipper and Matt!
I just get so much joy watching you and your husband working together and talking at the finish of your days working together. Is it really necessary to clean a chimney? I have been burning wood in my fireplace for 22 years and never cleaned mine. I best hire it done this year. To old to climb up on roof myself. I want to get one of those wood stoves that sit 0n the hearth and vent up the fireplace chimney. I think I would get more heat from the stove. The fireplace works OK, but I feel most of the heat goes up the chimney.
I am surely not trying to mind your business or suggest that you spend your money, but I will go back to a couple of videos ago, and remind you of something you talked about yourselves: To give you more space that your basement won't allow, think about a pole barn. I think you should do that directly!
It was interesting watching Matt sweep the chimney and get it ready for winter. Growing up, I didn't ever have to help or watch my dad when he did it. Now I wish I would've. I noticed brick in your wood stove. Did it come like that or did you add it later? Either way, I thought it was a good idea to protect the stove and hold the heat. Thanks for chatting with us today
Thank you for not filling every second with talk. I enjoyed sittin with you.
You could make chow chow out of your peppers & tomatoes.
how about in the greenhouse?
Well I love the stain on the house I think my dad used that REZ they called it back then, Mom didn't like it so much so she said to paint it white. I'm laughing because the house turned Pink. LOL, then my mom said to do the Trim in GREEN like a light lime green. That was a true Frenchman's colour yes my mom was of French Descendants. Well, when people had to find our house we would say the house that is pink with green trim on the McKay highway. I'd say it really backfired and years later they put in beautiful light blue siding the new look was impressive and it had white trim. You guys really worked hard. Your yard is beautiful, Matt made quite a wood pile I hope it's enough for the winter. I must say your garden is quite huge. Loved the Greenhouse. So yes you guys fascinate me with the stuff you can do. Up here in Canada where I live we don't get red leaves and I miss it because back home in Eastern Canada they had some beautiful pictures of the fall colors, reds, greens, goldens, and yellows. A real mix. I do miss it so much. I finally figured out why I love your videos so much, you and Matt, is the fact that I never saw my parents talk all they did was fight. LOL every day of life my mother loved to scream. I never saw any type of affection between my parents. That is why I left home to fend for myself and go to school when I was 17. I'd have divorced her years ago but dad put up with it until they were killed on the same day in a car crash 8 years ago last September 14th. I wonder what happened that day. "Fighting"? Thanks for sharing but that is why I love your videos you guys are a great example of how families should be Tipper and Matt.
I guess what you guys have is what I wished I had grown up with. I would have felt more at home if my mother had ever calmed down. She was so high-strung. Dr. Tried to give her Valum when she was young she took one pill and said "I want to be in control and this pill makes me loopy." I would have preferred Loopy rather than having to walk on eggshells day in and day out. So keep up the beautiful family videos you guys are great people never forget that. I am a gentle soul and my Grandmother and I was so close it was the only reason I stayed home until she passed when I was 17. She was my saving grace to be honest.
Did you say your grandpa was a Lay?
My grandpa was a Lay too from Ky.
❤
I always say dad thanks for the work ethic i have a hard time calling in sick lol im getting older now and cant do what i used to but i still keep going and we cant find help even with good qages people just dont want to work anymore
I just discovered a channel video, the Appalachia Story teller, very interesting did not know if you’ve listened to it, just fun
Matt's chimney cleaning made me think of my dad and uncle cleaning the chimney at Granny's house. The would select the right size cedar tree, tie it tight to a long rope and one guy on the roof and the other on the hearth would pull on the rope till the cedar had scrubbed out the soot. As a kid I found this very entertaining.
Your story of the old man working, and your comments about having a work ethic reminded me of something that happened years ago. There was in our church a family of farmers, all born and raised on the family farm. Dad, his son and grandson. The son had been to town, so was away for several hours by the time he came back home to discover his dad on the barn roof doing some repairs. The Dad and son got into a bit of a heated debate over who should be up there doing the job. The son declaring he should be the one as Dad was too old to be climbing around on the barn roof. Telling this story to the folks in church brought a few chuckles. Bear in mind, the son was in his early 70's and Dad was in his 90's and you'll see the humor.
If you pick the green Tommy toes, and put them in some pickle mix it is so good. Spicy dill mix is the best for it. My bunch loves them.
My dad used to say "directly" often. I heard myself say it a while back. I didn't even mean to say it, it just flew out of my mouth so easily. We are Hoosiers & many of your ways are our ways too. 🙂 And like you folks, we don't pronounce the "t" in directly.
Tipper you definitely did good in finding a good husband! Yall work together & that's beautiful!
Ive got to catch up a couple day's, but I'm wondering if you got any frost on Monday night. It's not got cold enough yet in the midlands of SC.
It's a pleasure to catch up with you daily!!
I cant wait to see the leaves. I love that you show everything.
Your outlook on life is so good. You can feel & see all of God's beauty all around you, & it touches my heart. It cones from your upbringing, too. Honestly, I know God & have that connection like yours. It's how we were raised. So, I identify with you & your Family well.
Thanks for sharing Appalachia! It does help to see it and know the fresh smells, fresh air, see all the Beauty, it's kinda like being at home everyday. Thank you so much!!
Be safe! God's Speed Only.❤💛🙏🙏
I say directly all the time. My neighbors from New York and she had a chain saw she wanted to sell and I asked her if it was any acount , she didn't have no clue what I was saying
I love seeing you two working side by side helping each other!
