As you can see from this angle, all of my snake plants are potted in plastic nursery pots and then placed in a container. I prefer the nursery pot because it prevents water loss from evaporation so the roots get to use most of it – this only works with optimal light. If lighting is low, water use is slow, and mold/rot take over a stale and moist environment. Drainage holes also allow me to ensure excess water can be discarded.
