  1. Yes. I've lived in Japan for the past ten years and due to the humidity and climate, Japanese plants will generally do well in most hot climates.

  2. Growing Japanese plants is a strange part of gardening. Regardless with all the plants that you discussed, I just realized that bamboo could also be the best part in a Japanese Garden.
