  1. That was so cool, Now I am jealous though! I have tried growing them on the Oregon Coast but we just do not get the heat…even in a greenhouse, or inland a bit. As a kid I had a Sweet Potato I rooted in water and had as a houseplant for 1 yr. One of my first plant loves.
It made my mouth water to watch you harvest them. My mom would par boil, peel, then bake in a sauce of brown sugar, a bit of water and lemon juice from one lemon. I am so glad to learn you can eat the leaves, maybe i will try again next year. I was able to grow Loofa and Tennessee spinning gourds this year.
Peace/ I love your mellow happy videos!

  2. Nice harvest, congratulations! I did grow sweet potatoes for the first time this year and I was equally excited with my harvest. I put my potatoes in my garage to cure. How do you plan to prepare them?

  3. I did do a quick rinse and put them in a heavy rice bag, then a lined cooler bag and wrapped with a blanket. I put one of those refrigerator monitors, because I hear 80-90 degrees with similar humidity is good to get them sweet.

  4. Harvesting sweet potatoes are like hunting for buried treasures. We have grown them for a few years. We had a good harvest except a vole got into some of our beds. We cure ours in clear plastic totes out in the sun for a week or two to act as a little greenhouse. We cover the Sweet potatoes with a towel so they don't get sun burnt.

  5. That's so cool your first time sweet potato harvest was great.
The quail chicks were so cute, I remember seeing you collect the egg. Nice video.
    Be Blessed

  7. Lovely harvest of sweet potatoes. I grew some one year, I pulled them out too soon as I wasn’t sure how long to let them grow. Thanks for sharing your video I will certainly try again. When should I be planting the slips out? I love sweet potatoes enjoy your harvest ❤

  9. Congratulations!! It's like a treasure hunt. It's easier to dig up if the soil is dried out. Great job for the first time.🥳🥳🥳
