Update March 2018: I no longer use fabric pots because I found they dry out my plants and require too much water. I have used it too grow potatoes, mint, and lemongrass.
Here are my subtropical container plants. I grew these when I lived in the subtropical climate of Florida and continue to grow them in the cold climate of zone 6b. I would like to show you the orange root stock for the kaffir lime tree. We will also take a closer look at the lemongrass which I am growing in a smart pot.

  1. Like you tropical varieties of plants, you must have a green thumb to keep them a live and producing fruit, thanks for the video !

  2. I got lemon tree started from seeds in a pot, as well as, a lemongrass plant. I live in zone 7b. I think both plants are in need of bigger pots. Do you know when it would be a good time to transplant them ?

  3. I have a lemon grass tree and a kaffir lime trees on the pots, but they are not growing much.  I have grown them since last year.  I live in Southern Cal.  How many times per day do you water them and do you put them in the full sun or shady area?  Thanks

  4. I'm salivating over here from your cooking! Lol Thanks for sharing Donna!! Great videos once again….😃

  5. I live in the panhandle of Florida and want to grow a small veggie garden next spring. The only problem is that I don't know the first thing about gardening. I have pine trees in my backyard with roots everywhere and all sandy soil under my grass. What should I do to prepare a section of my yard now to get ready for spring?

  6. What brand of Spinosad do you use? I have some plants I need to bring indoors to overwinter. Thanks in advance.

  7. Thanks for the videos! Do you move the kaffir lime tree indoors? Does the fruit mature well indoors vs. outdoors? I live in a zone 6b and have started lemon trees from seed, will kaffir lime and regular limes trees do well from seed too?
