  2. Great advice. We mulch our garden beds but I can say that historically I don’t see this done by the average home gardener. That’s a shame because it is a game changer when it comes to retaining moisture and improving soil, especially in containers and raised beds.

  4. When do you put the white polyester fabric over the plants?? When you put the seeds in? THANKS!

  5. I put leaves in my chicken pens and let them scratch and break them down along with pine shavings. Then I compost it with the chicken litter.
