Let’s do a ‘ What Comes Next?’ Walkabout in the front yard. Well, what comes next will clearly be a lot of high temperatures and dry weather conditions. So next week, while the weather is a bit cooler, I will get the front ready to tuck it in for July and August. A little clipping, a little mulching, and a very tiny bit of planting to keep it looking presentable during the hottest time of the year. Also a fun back porch/ front porch topiary flip. 1. I ordered the copper planter tray with the 6 pots. I absolutely love it! It's my most favorite thing i've purchased in a while!! I have some smaller crops in my kitchen garden that its perfect for going out and gathering food. We're expecting some really hot days in Washington (zone 7) 101 is our cooler day for 10 days we are around 107 -108 our most hot day is looking like 113.

  2. I’m so excited with your idea using the egg shaped topiary, which I ordered from your QVC line, I have an existing boxwood for it and I’m going to do the same thing, training it within that form. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that but what a great idea! Thank you. Zone 8b, California draught victim, lol!

  3. Last year I started a garden journal to remind myself how plants behaved, what did well and especially what didn't do well so I didn't do it again. I started doing entries as I planted seeds documenting their process and now I do entries on a weekly or monthly entry. I include the tags from my purchase, different fertizers I've added. It is beneficial for planning the next season or growing year💚

  4. I watched the video this morning and ordered 2 of the egg trellises. Several hundred people had them in their carts. QVC is also running a $15 off promotional which covered my shipping. I would love to see more trellises, tuteurs, etc. in your product line. Also hard (almost impossible) to find in the US are the decorative one-piece peony supports that are widely used (and available for purchase) in the UK.

  5. Praying for those in CA … Linda, I watched one of your videos where you mentioned you purchased Tuteurs from Hobby Lobby, so I went there yesterday and found one on 50% off! I will be installing it to support one of my potted hydrangeas until our new house is completed and I can transfer it into zone 7 ground! Thanks for all your tips and love your thrifty ways!

  6. Prayers for all experiencing severe environmental stresses this season (drought, fires, heat, excessive rain/storms, pests, etc.)! I wish I could gift those drought-stricken gardens the 7” of rainfall my garden received yesterday! 💚🌸🙏🏼

  7. May I ask what you put in the bottom of the pot, since there are no Holes for the water to get out?

  8. Thank you for reminding us to order our fall bulbs now, at the beginning of summer. I usually forget to do so and am left with the dregs by the time I turn my mind to fall planting. So Thanks!!!

  9. Just ordered two of the egg trellis; available in galvanized only. Thanks for the QVC reminder. Prayers to those experiencing adverse weather conditions. Here in zone 6 Connecticut, we're in the epicenter for Lyme disease which seriously limits getting to involved with pruning, etc. Congrats on completing your book. Wow!

  10. Our prayers are certainly with everyone dealing with extreme weather, and especially praying for everyone’s safety. Also — did anyone else only get through minute 2:17 in this video before pausing it to preorder Linda’s book?

  11. I am in the Pacific Northwest, Zone 7, between Portland and Mt. Hood. Last year was a nightmare for so many, between the "historic" winds that caused so much damage that then fueled out of control wildfires in my area and the rest of the state, with tragic results. On top of Covid…Many people are still recovering their lives and property from last fall. Truthfully, we are, as Californians are (especially because of their terrible drought conditions), in the anticipatory stages of pre wildfire trauma that is expected to come this summer and fall. Still, garden centers are busy, we are working on garden projects, creating our version of garden beauty (me inspired by you–Love my QVC LV tall plant cage!)! Hoping for the best. My heart goes out to all who are in areas experiencing or facing weather and fire challenges.

  12. Portland Oregon says hang in there West Coast. I know we are over the 100's and hard breathing with fires, but we always survive!

  13. Prayers and my sympathies to all suffering due to the weather or other circumstances. We are in zone 7 and have only been getting colder days but I know other places are being affected with flooding, tornados, droughts and so much more. I pray for you all, may God protect you and lets continue to help our planet heal from all the devastation that we have inflicted upon it.

  14. Linda, I love your shows. A few days ago you showed an olive tree with little green berries . Does that stay outside in the winter?

  15. Here in UTAH we are in a severe drought..our Govenor issued a state of emergency. Wild fires have already begun. Not enough snow fall this past winter. No spring rain. We are known for the greatest snow on earth…please pray for our state, as well as the the entire west. ARIZONA is on fire as well.

  16. Praying for all with difficult weather conditions. Linda didn’t see a link to preorder your book listed below.

  17. Yes! Tutieres are very hard to find! Mine are 10 years old. I love your garden items on QVC.

  18. I am zone 8b and we are very fortunate this year as we have had some rain but not too much. We are often victims of hurricanes but a little early for those. My heart goes out to all our gardening friends who are experiencing adverse weather.

  19. Prayers for those suffering with extreme weather.
Over here in the Mid Atlantic region, I'm in Maryland, 7b.
We like to complain about our humidity, but we really are so fortunate.
    We rarely experience extreme weather.

  20. This was a great episode of useful tips, tricks and inspiration. Thank you, Linda. Love from sunny Sydney, Australia.

  21. Thoughts and prayers going to everyone experiencing bad weather conditions right now. It really makes one realize how thankful and appreciative we need to be of the blessings we are given. Wishing them
    all well.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  22. Sending love to all of us struggling with drought and extreme weather. New Mexico is hot, dry, windy and smoky. Still feel grateful I can water my containers. ❤️

  23. Thank you Linda for your kindness and for everyone’s good wishes. I’m inland in Southern California and treasuring every drop of water we have available 💦 sending good wishes to everyone experiencing extreme weather.

  24. I'm sending my prayers and best thoughts to our world 🙏🌍 holding us all in a space of love. I'm trusting and believing- All will be well- All is Well because God is good

  25. Please. If the Plant Gods are listening, please make Linda's garden decor pieces become a permanent staple in all major garden & homewares stores around the globe. 🙏 My Aussie soul NEEDS her garden style to grace my yard! 🙏🌿💐

  26. Lots of prayers and cold weather thoughts to everyone in AZ, California, Texas, OK, FL, and all those in this summer's het zones. This heat is absolutely hellish on both people and plants. Popsicles are such an understated but welcoming treat in this heat.. Please remember to hydrate and stay indoors during the hottest part of the day. This heat is dangerous. God bless and much love to Linda, Stewart, and everyone here❤😊

  27. Lived in L.A. during a seven year drought. I still water my plants with left over glasses of water that people leave—even though now that I am in Indiana with a well. Praying for rain for y’all! Congratulations on the book! Can’t wait to read it!

  28. Hi Linda, I’m really enjoying your videos. Where did you get the white clippers from? They look like scissors lol. I haven’t seen anything like them. Excited for your QVC collection!

  29. WISHING EVERYONE AND EVERYWHERE WHO ARE EXPERIENCING BAD WEATHER AND A LOST OF 🪴 PLANTS THAT HURTS AND I CERTAINLY CAN RELATE AND EMPHASIZE!!!!! KEEP GARDENING ANYWAY!!!!!

  30. This video is so awesome! I haven’t been interested in topiary much, but I think I might get into it! I’m in Vancouver WA, zone 8a, and we just experienced historic temperatures of over 115 degrees! Some of my plants suffered, a few didn’t make it, but I’m glad and pleasantly surprised that most of my plants faired quite well. My heart goes out to all of those who are experiencing extreme weather and fires. I wish everyone all the best. And thank you, Linda, for being so supportive, positive, encouraging, and awesome!

  31. You always inspire me with your garden. I am now trying my hand at topiaries. Love the garden! Prayers to all of you who are in the wild fire areas.

  32. What do you spray on your flowers when the beetles eat your flowers cone flowers and my other flowers please let me know

  33. I really hate seeing the devastation in the west. Shame on all of us for not acting and demanding action on global climate change before it became a true crisis.
