Growing Food in Totes, Buckets or just pot plants in flower pots. Here Growing & harvesting potatoes from Store Bought growing potatoes, that is how I started with these potatoes, once they grew, we ate some and grew more, now I have a tote just for a potato farm, with cabbages and tomatoes, kidding love to try to grow different things, but yes, it is easy to grow in totes. Build your garden in your pace, one tote at a time, and it can be incredibly easy, fun and cheap. Be sure to check out thrift stores and bargains, as many times I have gotten these totes for free, $1 because of no lids so keep that eye out for great deals.

  5. Hi Robbi – east coast here. I grow mu potatoes in buckets. I have holes in bottom, add 3 inches os soil. Put 4 seed potatoes spaced apart, then cover with couple of inches soil. As potato grows upward I keep adding additional inches of soil and repeat until I get close to bucket top. Potatoes keep growing from the plant in layers. When top greens die back IL turn bucket over in my wheel barrow or ground and all potatoes fall out. I reuse soil of course. Seems to work the past couple of years. Happy gardening – Barb

  6. Better re-think the potato thing. Geoengineering and aerosol spraying with weather modification causing draught….PLANNED FOOD SHORTAGES. GROW WHAT YOU CAN.

  12. Just had to share. I have a bunch of aloe vera plants. I like to give them away because they're so great fo wounds and burns. Well, I'm taking care of a friend so I am not home. My husband brought me a plant where I'm staying. Consequently it had almost no soil. I decided I would pour used, wet coffee grounds in it and see what happened. Well turns out my aloe loves it. It i growing like crazy and even has sprouted babies. I learned something new.
