This week, I needed to get my house in order! I shared how I used some baking soda and vinegar to scrub my scruffy oven, so if you love a satisfying deep clean, then you’ll enjoy that. Also, I am planting some root cuttings I got from my neighbour and sharing my garden plans for the future.
The chair and rug I featured are from DFS and were #gifted to me.

You are just too much. I was laughing 😀(not sure if I should be) but you are so honest but yet down to earth in how you do and explain things. Its like we are all there with you and having a cuppa with a good chat. When you looked at the camera and said "I have a feeling when I take off the door I may not be able to put it back on". Well let me say I lost it at that part You did get it back on. You brought back wonderful memories for me when you said if you left the door open someone most times my mother would ask you "were you born in a barn". That was all you need to hear and immediately closed the door. I am going to try your baking soda and vinegar on this oven in the apartment. I spent 3 hours working on it after I moved in (that was after the owner hired someone to clean the place). I can still smell the cleaner when I use it so I give it a quick wash and see if that helps I'll let you know how it works out. I truly enjoy your hacks plus your ideas. I appreciate you sharing them with us so keep them coming. Love seeing Blondie to
i am so proud of you girl. You just go for it. I want to do something different with my back yard (garden) also. I want more flowers and shrubs less grass. It has snowed lightly last week and the weather is getting colder so I need to take care of some of my plants and make a plan for next spring. Good luck with your plans. Blessings. You are such an awesome chick. Love these video's. Xx
Do you sell any of the pieces you make? If so where can I find them? I just saw a video you made about a craft fair. Would love buy a few things.
Love your creativity
Love the idea on the garden, how about getting some railway sleepers? As there normally flat 🙂 can’t wait to see your cut flower bed, I wanna do mine ready for the summer out our garden too x
Beautifully done. Hope you feel better. I like that you're not decorated for Christmas yet. I wont start until next week. I need to deep clean. Tyfs
That is a Wicked Cute rug ♥️the colored
It's a pity you live so far from me I could supply you with plants. I live in N Ireland. I'm about to start splitting and dividing perennials. Just love your videos. You are a joy to watch.
Great video, I'd have to wear gloves though, cleaning the oven lol x
Love the rug where it is x
I know you said no fish in your pond, but I was thinking, Koi ponds are expensive in the US, but goldfish can grow really large like koi for a whole lot less. Blondie would watch them all day long, & it'd make for lovely pics of her♡ Just a friendly suggestion. Take care:)
Catherine, I am on the hunt for an electric kettle for my kitchen and yours is so cute! May I ask what kind it is? That is the shape that appeals the most to me.
Thank you for sharing . Well done with the oven..I flinched when I saw you pouring the vinegar on the door with the mat underneath lol glad you moved it 😉 ..I’ve never even thought about an oven door coming off to clean..you’re inspiring in so many ways 👍🏻😀 .
Your green house is magical . The fire you have in there ..how is that run ? ..I don’t know if I’ve missed a video on it..I’ve obviously seen it in there but I don’t remember if you talked about that . Your garden ideas are really good 👍🏻 .💛🤍
We found out that we could take our all the glass on our cooker. Like a revelation😂😂
Aww loved the vlog 💖 get better soon. Xx
You are so lovely! We have the same aesthetic 🙂 your greenhouse is beautiful! Have you thought of getting some faerie lights for your garden? It could look very cute 🥰
Well I have to tell you I just finished cleaning the oven in my apartment with the baking soda and vinegar using the steel wool. Finally I will be able to cook in it. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I needed to cook my turkey but every time I tried using it the smell gave me a migraine. I am happy to say that bird will be roasting tomorrow with all it goodies. Again many thanks for this cleaning tip it worked great better than anything I have ever used. Take care looking forward to more videos. Thanks
You are such a pleasure you it my spirits and I giggle so much cause I can relate to what you say so much .
Much love from Cape Town .
Hi Catherine, love what you're doing! The comment about hanging lights at the greenhouse is a great idea! I did want to say I live in the southern US and mosquitoes love, love our backyard ponds. I hope they are not an issue in Dublin.
I just found you over the weekend and I have been binge-watching everything you're doing. I could see you and I as neighbors we would get along famously. Let me give you a little hacks that I use for cleaning. I get a tube of whitening toothpaste at the Dollar Tree and punch Lots little holes throughout the whole tube and then put the whole thing in the back of the commode where all the water is. Then every time you flush you clean your toilet. Keep up the good work thanks for the smiles
In Australia we say “were you born in a tent?”
Ok, you always say, “cheeky thumbs up” is that like a big thumbs up? I love you and your videos you are adorable!!
I NEED that thermos!
your video just helped me remove my own oven door. the handle was loose for ages and one side came off completely a few days ago. i couldn't figure out how to remove the door even with all the videos on youtube. so thank you for showing the process and for giving me the confidence to try it myself!
I've had to move to travel mugs too – in the states we have the brand YETI that's literally the best thing ever. I have the ten ounce mug with a handle – makes me sad to stop using my mugs in the winter, but now I can stay busy and not feel bad over wasted tea and hot cocoa or cider. We do our best! I feel so late with Christmas decor, so I've started to keep it up through the winter (just take down the red holiday themed stuff, my winter theme is gold/white/green/wood) so I don't feel like I wasted my time!
🦋❤ You are such a joy 😊 x
“Born in a barn”. 🤣So funny. Love watching your videos. They bring a smile to my face and I love your ideas and decor too. Thanks so much.👍😊
I love watching these blogs, there so real and I love your accent as well, very soothing, I am watching back videos though to catch up, I wonder what make the electric fire in your green house is, looks really good 👍 bless you
Oh, Catherine, you gave me such a good laugh with your oven door. My husband bakes a lot of bread and pizzas, but the oven door gets quite filthy. A few months ago, with a bit of "encouragement" from me, he decided it was time to clean it. Like you, he You Tubed how to take the door off. It came off, but never got back on right. He completely ruined that door. Guess who bought a brand new oven!
Love your chatty videos! Having so much fun watching all your older videos and seeing how much things change. Love how much your yard has changed that green house is so sweet and seems perfect for you❤️💐
How the heck are you staying clean while doing this? I need to wear my old painting clothes when I clean my oven. I am a hot mess!
I had new oven 5 years ago, before that mine was second hand. I clean the shelves with no problems but there are always bits on the sides and back that won't come off so 3 years ago I decided that I'd treat myself to having a man to come and clean my oven and it's always spotless. He takes so many bits apart that I would be afraid to do including the door and the glass and he doesn't use harsh chemicals. That's my treat to myself.
I had to have the back element of my oven replaced last week. The technician just unclipped it to get it out of the way. I'm still afraid to do it myself.
Have you thought of sending a video in to Monty Don to show some of the things you've done during the pandemic? Cyclamen would look lovely in your shady area under the tree.
Love how you and your neighbours are 😍
You are my most absolute favourite person to watch!!!
Fun seeing all the plans come together
I love your greenhouse . It is so cute 💕Bless you
I just love your home. It looks so cozy. Thank you for sharing with us!
