  1. Love your garden vision and incooperating your family area with your garden. Can't wait to see the transition!

  2. I am interested in learning to make homemade teas, hopefully, Jenn, you will feature a tea a month, I so love your "Tea Garden", idea, and am thinking about doing one for myself.

  3. We just bought 200 feet of fence, just like yours and tee posts. Haven’t put it up yet, please share some of you putting yours up and keeping it straight! Beautiful property!❤️

  4. I suggest you hold off on taking those two trees in your back yard down for the time being, you could plant those things that like a little shade there, you may like to sit in their shade to enjoy looking at your garden while out working. Especially since you do like the trees anyway. besides surely the shade doesn't shade the same area all day long, does it? put a picnic table under them. So glad you let us know your baby girl was a dog, I was like whaaaat? oh oh ok she is a dog. haha I want to get a couple pigs. we had someone use a tractor to build a mound of dirt for our shooting range to set the targets for practice. Thnx for sharing

  5. I realize I'll sound like a fool, however having kids as small as yours playing that close to brushy woods gets me nervous…
The brushy woods looks like prime hunting territory for coyotes and bobcats and other "critters", too.
Here in Missouri we've seen a cougar in the back pasture and heard of bears in the area.
And yes the conservation agents say that these animals are "just passing through".
Personally while my head likes the idea of the return of apex predators to the area,
my instincts and emotions say "heck no!" To having something in the woods that can think of humans as prey.

  6. Family Traditions had someone come and clear the land in the most remarkable way. not sure of the cost buy you should ck out the video

  7. I simply adore your videos. Thank you for sharing…. I'm looking forward to watching your homestead evolve…. Love love love your pond….

  8. That pond😍😍 I love seeing the other parts of your land! I absolutely love it!! I’d pitch a tent and sleep out there! Aww yes Jen is beautiful!!! I love that your family is so close, that’s all I ever wanted in a family but my family is so small :/ I bet the kids slept good that night! I loved your property before and now I love it even more! How did you lettuce do overnight? Looking forward to the live tonight!!

  9. Beautiful property Zach n Jenn. You know you can incorporate that pond into an Aquaponics system then return the water back to the pond. It would be a 1pump system. I’ve never done it with a pond but the principle is the same as a closed system, your fish tank is just a LOT BIGGER.😁😂😂

  10. My first 2 beds were 4×12…my next 4 beds were 3×12…lol…so I know exactly what you mean…I have 2 picnic tables in the center of my backyard garden and they sure come in handy…go check out Tina's at Bumble bee junction…very pretty….love your land.. was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky…last 60 yrs…Indiana…married a Hoosier boy 54 years ago…but go back to Kentucky every chance I get…Cara in Indiana

  11. Your garden and yard will be wonderful, really it is now. Love the picnic table and where your dog is. Very sweet. Do you ever harvest and eat your cattails? I got hooked on wild edibles as a girlscout when I was introduced to them. They are delicious.

  12. Your place is awesome! Thanks for the tour! Wyatt and Raelynn are going to have the best childhood running through the gardens and the woods! I grew up out in the country and I have the best memories of playing with my sister out in the woods. Now we hunt out in those woods! My son was watching this video with me and he said “look mama- that little boy has the same shirt as me, wow, he’s got good taste!” Lol

  13. All the cat tails could be great backup in a crisis situation. The cat tail roots are carbohydrates which are hard to find if we ever get in a forage situation. Your place is awesome. All of kentucky is pretty awesome.

  14. We have some land in East Texas and there are feral pigs all over. My dad left corn on the fence rows when the weeds were high and they mowed that right down for him. If y’all have feral hogs in the area, you may be able to use them to clean out your piney woods.

  15. I'm curious how much land yall have altogether and then how much your little family has of that? I'm on an Acre and feel like I'm suffocating. Need. More. Land. And some countryside!
