  1. I don't know about California Pepper trees, but Brazilian Pepper produces their own herbicide to kill off competitors.

  2. Can't wait to see what you do with the tumeric. This is my first year having it and I'm ready to dig some and see what I've got. I'm also sending some to my sister and daughter.

  3. Wow y’all are hot. We are in the 90’s lately. Rain all week tho from tropical storm.

  4. All my goldfinches love sunflower seeds. I have a high quality mix also but they prefer the sunflower. I have also noticed way more birds than any summer I can remember. I’ve been feeding the birds for over 30 years and usually during the summer they slow down. Don’t go through as much seed. This year they are voracious. I do what I can. They bring such joy. (I’m in San Diego County).

  5. I really enjoy your garden walks 😊 The plants really love your compost tea for certain. Thank you for taking care of the birds and sharing the seeds. The birdies and other animals are having a rough time here in California. And I’m glad to see you patched up the broken tote. Thank you for sharing Robbie 👍🏻♥️😊

  6. Hi Robbie. You have been talking about your turmeric growing system and a video about it for like 2 months, but I haven’t seen a video yet. Did I miss it?

  7. Just love how you do things. I couldn’t find free chairs this year but found wooden pallets. My husband elevated them for me using cinder blocks. Now they are waist high for all my containers and much easier for me to tend. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

  8. Thanks Robbie, we enjoyed the tour. I’m looking forward to cooler weather… gardening is going to be more fun. I’m taking a short siesta these days due to the hot temperatures leaving lots to do. The hummingbird tree seeds all sprouted! 30 little trees! Fresh seeds from a great source.

  9. You and Gary are doing a fine job I enjoy your informative videos everything looks wonderful so lush and productive TFS

  10. I've set some of my totes on pallets I find for free. I really like it and am always looking for more.

  11. Robbie, you’re driving me crazy waiting and waiting to hear the new way you grow turmeric 🤣😂. In all seriousness, I know you’re ultra busy and have more important things to do in the garden 😉. However, I’ve been trying for years to grow turmeric without success and am REALLY looking forward to that video when you’re able to get to it. Thanks for all you do!

  12. Robbie, not sure if ur allowed to do this but what would be very nice, if you could paint a land scape design on the cinder block wall to reflect the garden and sunsets. cheers

  13. I need you to make the video for turmeric sooner than later so I can set up this week before spring hits us 🙂

  14. SMART GARDENING STYLE, WOOOOOWW!!!!, ROBBIE & GARY, You are teaching me to be patient with plants,we will not get tired of watching this video, please don't stop gardening, continue like this, GO GO GO GOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  15. Love your videos those cucumbers look very healthy Robbie have a great day ☺️🦋🦋🦋

  16. My garden was basically a flop compared to last year. I will try a fall garden this year, hope I do better in North Florida.

  17. I feel you on having the big plans but having to slow down and do things at your own pace. My bodies pace is a lot slower then my minds. I still have huge plans they are just getting started at a slower pace. Between physical needs and financial needs (my job), there is only just so much time and energy available per day.

  18. Try pallets. In the section of totes and containers i have next to my house i place everything on pallets to keep it off the burning extra hot concrete. Hoping it keeps it a little cooler and helps keep the soil cooler.

  19. Hi Robbie & Gary!!! I discovered I can’t work my garden at the pace I would love to work on it also! I find I do what I can when I can and it eventually comes together!!! Thanks for all your honest inspiration.

  20. ROBBIE – Have you – or anyone on here, ever seen a butterfly on your/their humming bird feeder??? This afternoon I watched a Black Swallowtail Butterfly on one of my feeders. It was the one with 8 feeding stations and the butterfly checked each one of them out as it walked around on the feeder. I've seen this butterfly in my garden for over a month on several of the flowers. There was one hummer who kept watching it from my day lily branch and another one who went to the other side from where it was and ate/drank some. I watched for almost half an hour and the butterfly returned to the feeder several times after being chased away by other hummers.

  21. With all the food that you grow, which is massive, what do you do with it all? That's a lot of food. You definitely have green thumbs. Take care.

  22. Beautiful fountains and garden but have you heard about "the earth box" it helps grow beautiful fruits and vegetables- you just put water at the bottom of the planter!!!

  23. I put all my totes on either 2"x4"s or empty pop bottle flats, or black vegetable trays, or cement tiles. Whatever I can find that is a few inches deep, that way my totes are off the ground. I put my totes on grass so I like the totes to be off the ground so when I use the trimmer it is less likely to damage the totes. It would work for you also, just to elevate them off the ground a bit. Your chair garden is off the ground, I wonder how high off the ground to prevent the tree roots from getting in the totes? Maybe 4 to 6 inches may be all you need. Love your videos, keep up the amazing job that you and Gary are doing! I am learning so much from you two! Hugs from Alberta, Canada.

  24. Have started me a small garden as u..just put celery and sweet peas..1st time..have lots of ideas from u..thanks..been watching u for oh about 4 months.have 7 or 8 tubs done..I am 65 so I hope this works..thanks for ur ideas..I live in Alabama..🙂

  25. I wish my cats would like something from the garden like your dogs do. One year I bought about 50 catnip plants that were beautiful but not one seed started a new plant the next year. If you know any cat guardians who spoil their cats, they probably have empty temptations containers. They are opaque but they would make good containers. My neighbor has catnip plants that come back every year and grow 3 feet tall. She gave me several plants and I am harvesting the seeds for next year.
