Kusamono

Here I am sharing a different planting method known as Kusamono.
It is a Japanese planting method .
Literally it means , Kusa meaning grass , mono means thing …
So it is a planting technique by using grass , moss , flowering plants in a shallow bonsai pots , Kusamono pots , driftwood, tile pieces ..
Making or arranging grass or moss in different way..
We already know some Japanese planting methods or techniques like Kokedama , bonsai , wabi kusa etc …
but Kusamono is not that much familiar to us ..
It is not popular among malayalees.
But in India, nowadays it becomes a trending gardening method..
We can keep Kusamono in our table top as indoor plant or in our garden .
Actually this is a centre of attraction.
In Japan, earlier they used for accompanying bonsai. Then they changed the term to Shitakusa.
Kusamono are showing alone .

We can make it very easily at zero cost
The materials we need to make Kusamono are
A small shallow pot or small bonsai pot
Moss plant
Grass
Flowering plant
Potting mix (mixer of soil, cow dung, coco peat )
Perlite and compost ( if it is available ) – not necessary.
Method
We can fill the pot with the potting mix and then place mosses on the surface of it . Then we can place it grass we taken and flowering plant together and they planted on it .. then fix the plant there.for that we can use small stones or pebbles .. again we can cover it with mosses.. and cover it completely… make a small height from the pot surface .. then only it will highlight..
While we are selecting the plants we make sure to select the plants that have similar growing conditions.for instance, group together plants that need lots of water or that like sunlight ..
Watering can be done by spraying water daily basis.
