  1. Your kind of farming is old style farm. It is how farming was done last century. Buying synthetic fertilizer and buying seeds was something which came about in the late 1940's-1950's.

  2. The cheapest and most abundant livestock is worms. There is also no worm flu! 😉
Feed the worms, not the crops, is my motto.
Thank you! Saw your channel and had to subscribe. You are a Man of inspiration. 👍

  3. love the info, your attitude and video's. [If] information hording, is a sin, your a saint.

  4. Everytime I listen to you I am inspired to go plant another seed. Your passion for this life style and belief in a sustainable life makes me want to work harder to achieve these same goals. I have watched your wife's videos and find her to be inspiring also. You have a beautiful family that is a testament to all you say. Thank you for all you share with us.

  5. I have tried container gardening and the squirrels are eating the fruit before it’s even ripe. How do I keep squirrels from getting all the produce?

  6. 3 commercial breaks in the first 4 minutes. Sure does make it hard to watch your videos while I'm doing other things.

  7. You have the best gardening, sustainability channel on the internet. Your advice and description of what you’re doing and why is spot on. I love your family’s approach to growing food, you don’t make it complicated. Love your channel! Thank you!

  8. 🌼🐝🌻I’m Back for another update of your beautiful garden. It’s amazing to see the changes in your plants over time. I love watching my garden grow a little each day, that is my favorite part of gardening. I am making garden videos too on my own channel. It’s so fun to have the growth documented over the season. I still have so much to learn in this area. I hope we can learn more from each other! 🌻🌸👨‍🌾🐝🌼

  9. I was born and raised on ms coast and now live in Northern ms. I would LOVE to stop by and walk the gardens w u and ur family and pick yalls brains! I have so much learning to do! And my husband has a sawmill so maybe he could pay u in lumber for ur time and knowledge… 😁

  10. I absolutely love gardening but man jun-sept down in Mississippi is insane …I quit 10 times a summer 🤣

  11. Thank you for your enthusiasm and great tips! You talk about grow your plants to seed… my radishes have grow and are producing flowers. so my question is when do they go to seed? And how do you get seeds from your over grown plants? Before flowering or after like the onion does? Thank you

  12. Did you say you buy bahiagrass seed? Please no! I am not worried about food shortage, I grow for my family and friends. I care about taste, and I like showing the community that can grow really good tasting garden products.

  13. Question:
Have you considered growing some sort of legume plant on the same rows WITH your corn? Maybe every other plant is a corn stalk and every other plant is a bean plant? Also, I saw another video about growing different herbs that repel insects right along side of the corn stalks.
May I have your thoughts on these types of practices?

  14. People keep moaning about the price of fertilizer. Want a free supply with nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium (N-P-K) ratio of 10:1:4? Pee in a bucket, then dilute 10-15 parts water for plants in the growth stage. Dilute one part fresh urine to 30-50 parts water for potted plants. If you let it sit for a week, it'll be even stronger, yeah, in smell, too, but it works great on vegetables.
And a composting toilet can make great soil if the contents are put somewhere to age for 12-18 months.

  15. Swiss chard…cut off big leaves…leav3 stem…water…endless supplu of greens…steam them or use like cabbage for baked cabbage9 rolls

  16. I can grow grass and weeds better than a garden which sucks!! Lol. Someday I hope to have lazy love in the garden instead of battle in the garden 🤠

  17. Great video. We love watching your family, farm and animals grow. And we sure appreciate all the great information.. Take Care and God Bless You All 🙏❤️🙏

  18. You say to workout how much you need to grow, then muliply by 10%. Do you mean add 10%? As an eg 100 seeds adding 10% is 110. But if 100 × 10 now is 1000 seeds is it that much?

  19. I currently have been running through trying to figure out he BEST (fair price and not some scam) place to get Rice and Sugar Cane. How I see it along with corn and sorghum that’s bread, flour, grain, sugar, sweet snack when out in the yard, not relying o the store for sugar, rice etc

  20. How do you preserve seeds for next year? I understand letting plants go to seed but how to harvest the seeds and preserve them.

  21. I’m wondering if you have a some kind of ag degree, you really seem to know what your talking about, and I appreciate you!

  22. Your practices are the most sensible and practical I've listened to. Thank you!
I know it's a lot of extra work for you to share.

  23. Thank you for the video. I love how you have your farm set up with all the different animals and fruits and veggies. All producing seeds and or babies to grow and replenish themselves. Thank you again for sharing your experiences and knowledge. We are in the process of looking for land to try to do the same thing

  24. I've been watching for a while now. What plan do you have for a blackout and getting water out of your well. I've seen ways with a generator and hand pumps. But I'm curious what you do.

  25. Light bulb moment from this! I grow food in containers on my fenced in porch, so the wild rabbits don’t help themselves. But they still pass through our little side yard everyday and leave ‘presents’. Never occurred to me to scoop that up for fertilizer – til now.
