I’ve been thinking lately that I wanted to make a new terrarium. So, I took a look through my containers and found the one I used in this video. As soon as I saw it, this idea came to me. I thought, how cool would it be to include a sand zen garden on the bottom?

As I started working through it, I really embraced the rustic artisan vibe. Overall I’m really pleased with how it turned out. From the handmade tools to the terrarium and even the stain choice, I think it shaped up to be a really unique piece. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

  1. It seems like ages since I last made a proper terrarium on the channel. So, I took the idea of a zen garden and combined it with a terrarium. What do you think of the result? I think it turned out awesome. I hope you all enjoyed the video and have a great weekend! PS – Sorry for the late upload. This one took AWHILE to edit.

  2. You lost me when you used hot glue to hold the frame together. Some decent wood glue and clamps would have given you a much cleaner and stronger joint. Even the super glue would be better then the hot glue. Hot glue is such a cheap trick in the maker world. The duct tape of glues. Perhaps a woodworking/cabinet making class could help your builds look a bit more professional.

  4. I loved all three terrariums, but the mossy scape was my favorite, with the little spring tails! I hope they enjoy their new home. 🙂

  5. I like the one with the dragon wood the best! Your terrariums truly are the most mystical, wonderful, and serene ones out there. The way you explain the process of building it is also very calming and therapeutic. Thank you for this.

  6. Just discovered this channel. Loving the content! I recently built my own indoor windowbox bog for carnivorous plants. I know outside is more ideal, but I have a grow light and reasons for wanting them inside . . . Having a tad bit of mold. I've never used springtails before. I read they are okay with carnies, but my question is, the top of my bog is open. Do I run the risk of springtails invading my kitchen or will they stay near the food source/in the bog? Sorry for the long post. I have no one else to ask!

  7. I absolutely adore this channel, and it’s my inspiration to start my own terrarium and paludarium!!
Do we have an update on the spider?

  8. do you keep the light on a timer? How do you regulate when the light is on and off for this (and your other terrariums)?

  9. This is my favorite thing in the internet
I would have never thought of any of this and the clear marbles!!! That was genius!!!

  10. You are a scientific, and artist and hard worker, a genius, and a lovely man. I wish I could propose to you. Lol. Thank you for your incredible channel.

  11. I love it, though I love a lot of your projects but this one is so small and detailed but still simple in some ways ah it's well good.
