  1. You guys know me, I'm 100% transparent with my gardening journey. It is totally my fault that the bare roots were slightly… worse for wear.. but I wanted to show you the realities rather than pretend everything was fine. Remember to check your roots as soon as they arrive. I have left links in the description box for helpful videos and to my blog where you can find links I'd recommend to get your strawberry journey started. I'm buying some more roots so wish me luck with the next batch! Lol x

  2. I tried to 'convert' a still rootless runner to develop 'aquatic' roots, so I could try to grow them 'in' an aquarium. Initially I got roots and some growth, but after a week or 2 they started to rot away. I'll try again with some hydroballs, instead of pure water, maybe they'll like that better. I'd love to get homegrown strawberries all year round, being fertilized by my fish.

  3. Thanks for the strawberry information! I've been throwing around the idea of maybe getting some this year, so your video was helpful. Definitely will be ordering some bare roots – I'm not patient, so having some fruit this year would be a good thing. Til your next video….byyyyyeeee 🎵🎶🎵😉

  4. Oh mi gosh Strawberries are triffids!!! We rescued 2 rejected and marked down half dead ones from Poundland 2 years ago for 10p each, within a year they filled the half pallet bed they are in and I took over 40 runners off at the end of last year. Every time I walk past there are MORE runners. I do need to put some Diatomaceous Earth down though cos the Wood Lice keep getting them first little blighters!!!

  5. Wow super helpful video for me! I went from not knowing strawberries were perennials to getting ready to start them from bare root…. And ever bearing if I can find them 😉
And I have to tell you, you have gotten me saving and storing every plastic container I find for germination purposes!
I love when you use and reuse containers for every stage of growing 😉🪴👍🏼

  6. Ummm sooo that long straggly twig thing.. what I now know is a runner 😂 is important..? Because I keep cutting them off 🥴😭 is that why my 6 year old plant is so small
