i bought it and just love it because i can adjust it when on side walk to go left or right as i cant go out straight as there is no room to walk other than going in the flower bed i use it on side of my house front and back
I don't quite understand why you installed the reel so low on the wall. Over time, your back will not like it. I believe the proper height is about shoulder height.

won't the screw holes create water infiltration?

i also had to go to hardware store for the screws and bolts as it did not come with it
