If your favorite pot isn’t providing enough drainage, add a hole or two by following these simple steps.
Step 1: Set the pot on a flat surface
Set the pot upside down on a flat surface.
Tip
Use a rubber mat or damp towel to keep the pot from slipping.
Step 2: Mark a spot
Make a small ding in the pot’s surface with a nail to mark where you will drill the hole.
Step 3: Drill a pilot hole
Make a pilot hole with your electric drill to keep the drill bit from slipping when you make the larger hole.
Tip
Be sure to use the correct drill bit for the type of pot you are using. Selecting the wrong bit may crack your pot.
Step 4: Run cold water
Run cold water over your pilot hole. Keeping the pot cool will reduce the risk of cracking the pot.
Step 5: Drill the hole
Drill the drainage hole with your electric drill, making sure that the drill bit is at a 90 degree angle, perpendicular to the pot.
Step 6: Flip the pot and start planting
Flip the pot over so that it is right side up, and start planting.

I FUCKING RULE AND WIN
You didn't even say which type of drill bit we should use.
The type of bit needed to use for this is a masonry drill bit. These same bits are used when drilling into Concrete masonry units (cinder blocks) and concrete. You can identify these type of bits by noticing the "wing" type tip before the spiral. I hope this helps because the video didn't.
What kind of drill bits am I going to use? This is crucial information I need.
they need to advise which drill bit to use (masonry bit)
nobody give detail info which we really need ..check out here ( http://www.wikihow.com/Drill-a-Clay-Pot)
If a pot already has one hole would that be enough drainage? Would i need to drill another 1-2 more holes?
Hi, if I have a wooden planter box that is rectangular shape, like 2 ft long by 8" wide, do I drill like 3 holes on the bottom corners or on the bottom side?
They forgot what type of drill bit
what if we don't have electric drill, ?
Such a big hole will make loss of water now and then and your plants will not have much water to grow.A smaller hole will be good.
🔧THAT DARN DAMP TOWEL! RASCAL!! ⚡️

Turn the plastic pot over, heat a large screw driver under the gas flame on your cooker, then push in through the bottom of pot easy.
