  1. Awesome video my friend…I love your seedling/ potting station, nice and shaded..I think i would be spending most of my time there! Great Video, Thanks.

  2. Can this be done in a basement under grow lights? Here in MO our basement will be around 60*F. I have never been able to get carrots to grow and now I know why: clay. Thank you for a great tutorial.

  3. I live in PA but couldn't get carrots to grow because the soil is so darn rocky! I have 2 raised beds but just couldn't spare the space for carrots. Now I can grow carrots separately! Thank you!

  4. Super idea! I especially like the cedar separators. Did you make them from a fence panel? I'll have to try this!

  5. isn't it to close together? I heard its not to good to grow them together cause they get tangled up?

  6. So looks like it's OK for carrots to grow next to each other.??? because I had radishes growing next to each other and they grew too small.. vs radishes that were spread out…

  7. hi patrick…..i live in fl…..planted carrots at the end of april……but they are stilll tinie tny….about 5" tall….am i doing something wrong or am i been imatient???? thanks fortaking the time to answer my question=0)

  8. When you plant them in the buckets do you put a hole in the bottom for drainage? Also can you use buckets for other types of edible plants? Thanks

  9. I know it has been 3 years, but did you get a big harvest in one bucket? I am in SoCal and yeah, it is all about the clay. I grow most of my veggies in pots, buckets,2 liter soda bottles, and plastic planters.

  10. cool i want to make my own little veggie garden but i don't have a big space so this is  a great way to start!!!

  11. I tried this, and my carrots all turned out stumpy and skinny!  Obviously I think I'm using low quality soil, but how would you recommend giving some better nutrients to the soil I already have?  PS: I live in Hawaii.

  12. This would be really good. We juice tons of carrots and feed them to our dog as toothbrushing treats. You said 6 to 8 weeks? About how many carrots grown in one of those pots?

  13. Hi thanks for the video. I have a few of the same buckets and I thought to myself I should be able to plant carrots in them and walla, I run into your video. Super cool. How many seeds do I drop into the soil per each square? First timer and very excited to do it.  🙂

  14. Hi this is so cool, I love your video, am looking for some seeds to try my own gardener for the first time by just watching your video..

  15. I really liked your video about how to grow carrots in buckets. I've subscribed to your channel and I look forward to following you on YouTube. Thanks for sharing.

  16. Love your video. Short to the point and I love your farm. I'm looking to get one in the new year.

    love your separater cedar too.

  17. I loved this so much that I shared this with my gardening class. I will be planting several gardens in several states this year. I am also going to try this method with my beets and Daikon Radishes. I am so excited to share this with everyone! Do you by chance have measurements for your trays and slats?

  18. Love it! If you are packing the top of the bucket with seedlings, the carrots dont get crowded, or run out of room in the bucket? Or is that why you pull them after 1-2 months?
