Paul Lofton partners with imagination and DIY creativity in his expansive low-water garden on a budget. When he finds a good plant, he simply makes another. He adds to his home-made compost with Pflugerville’s free compost and mulch to turn lawn into gardens that attract wildlife of all kinds. Scavenged stones become walkways, intimate garden spaces and benches.

totally agree.
That's an amazing 1/2 acre, it does look larger.
Love your garden!
Your garden reminds me a lot of ours. We've been working on ours for the last 91/2 years. Like you, we give plants a chance and 3 is the magic number. If it doesn't do well after the third time it's history. We decided also to only water our plants and the rest of the yard that isn't a garden to let it die back. We have to conserve water somewhere. After a several good rains however, the grass comes back to life. Really enjoyed the video and I'm sure your wife is smiling down on you and your kids, as well as, your now famous gardens.
My kind of gardener! Love your yard.
i learn so much from these
love it. talented
Thats beautiful!
That's how you do it!!! I'm a horticulturist by trade but really there is no need to be anal retentive about gardening, just dive in and do it like he has!!! Just look at the results!!! I was already enamoured by this man but when he mentioned his wife and her struggles, I was very touched and began to cry….. Great way to involve his daughter as well!!! I am inspired by this remarkable man!!! Thank you!!!
love this! such a beautiful garden that speaks a lot to who he is a person!
I like this guy’s philosophy, I don’t t like to babysit plants, I give plants three tries if It doesn’t work out; it’s out of my garden. 👍🏻
I'm the same way, don't deal with diva plants.
