Sweet corn plants are definitely a warm season crop, easy to grow in any garden. You can plant either super sweet corn plants or sweet corn plants, but don’t grow them together because they may not do well.

Corn is one of the Three Sisters and grows particularly well alongside squash and beans plants. These three have a mutually beneficial relationship – corn provides support for beans to climb, squash block sunlight from the soil to suppress weeds, act as a living mulch, conserve moisture, and beans release nitrogen into the soil. Other good companions include cucumber, beets, parsley, potatoes, melons, dill, peas, and sunflowers. Avoid planting corn next to tomatoes and celery.
Here’s how to grow, plant, and harvest corn in your garden.
