Concepts is an award winning sketching app made specifically for design professionals. Leading Architects, Industrial Designers and Illustrators use Concepts to iterate on ideas and to create high quality professional grade sketches.

Concepts is a raster + vector hybrid that lets you quickly manipulate and adjust any stroke at any time. The infinite canvas and infinite layers allow you to free sketch without having to plan out your work in advance. Precision tools – like flexible shape guides and auto-measurement – give your sketches the precision of AutoCAD(R) on your iPhone + iPad.

Just like many of the best design tools, Concepts has a bit of a learning curve. But we know that once you learn how to use it, you’ll see why top designers at Philips, Nike and Citrix have made sketching in Concepts a part of their normal workflow.

Concepts connects to real-world formats like AutoCAD DXF, Adobe Photoshop PSD, and web-standard SVG. You can bring your favorite stylus from Apple, Wacom, Adonit, and Pencil by FiftyThree. Concepts is currently available on iPad, iPad Pro and iPhone, but we are coming to other platforms soon!

Concepts is free to try and if you like it, you can upgrade to our ‘Pro Pack’ version (one-time, in-app purchase) to unlock those professional exports (PNG, SVG, DXF, PSD), get full use of the precision toolkit, advanced layer control and options for images and text.

  1. theres any chance that you guys can do this step by step, spanish is our first language, my dad is a designer, and he wantsto learn to use this, but she goes way to fast for us, maybe explain step by step. THANKS!!!

  2. I have a background in Illustrator. Does Concept have something similar to Illustrator's clipping mask?
I use clipping masks all the time for colouring.

  3. I use AutoCAD to do my designs. I tried importing both a pdf and a jpg of my design, but they are both too pixelated. I don't see how to bring in a vector or dxf. Is there a way to do that? I'm new to Concepts and would like to use it for rendering my designs from AutoCAD. Thanks!

  4. Still need more tools for coloring, like picking color, custom color, brush… 🙂 Please add, just bought the pro pack and wish to get some more useful tools
Anyway, great app for sketching, thx a lot 😀

  5. The tool selection and manipulation is far too fast. It is all right for the expert, but for the beginner it is way too fast to understand how the tool is set.

  6. I am trying it, my brother lead me to this app (he was involved), before I buying it, I could not find a Fill option that just fill a closed space. Understand (my brother taught me) how your fill works, as you show in this old video, but may be you already added something to fill (like a bucket in other apps) a sector with a color. Thank you. And yes, great app!.
