  1. What do you suggest for buying a new property that HAS been sprayed with chemicals like pesticides/herbicides? And inorganic fertilizers?

  2. How do you know if a seed is still good i got a ton of heirloom seeds from lowes that they threw away because the display fell last year?

  3. A have a few ?’s: 1. Is there a chart/book to know what type of soil condition works best for each type of vegetable/ fruit ext? 2. Could I put shade cloth across T posts as kinda a wall of sorts to help shade lettuces cold crops?

  4. Thank you so much !! This helps me a bunch! I really need the basics laid out like this. Much appreciated 👍

  5. Q&A
I've started to plan my spring cottage garden, along with my vegetable garden, and I'm putting together a gardening journal. I'll be adding plant profile pages specifically for my medicinal herbs. Do you think it is necessary to do a full profile page per variety? For example I have three different kinds of echinacea, or would one page for echinacea do?
    Thank you..

  6. I keep trying to do your free herbal training but nothing comes to my email. I've tried the link on Facebook and this one. Please help! I'm very interested

  7. Hello.. loved your video so much information.. took notes 😃 my question is this.. I am a first time gardener I have a designated area with containers so I understand the importance of seed but what do you think about starting with plants and do you recommend any places to get them? Thank you 😊

  8. Your videos are so informative and your channel is such a wealth of information. Your large platform blesses so many… me included. So the "say no to gmo" is disappointing when it is illegal to sell gmo seeds to the consumer/public and is about big ag and multimillion dollar contracts. Sorry it just makes me sad as we talk to so many who fear GMOs so much they talk themselves out of trying their hand at gardening.🥺 They need to worry less about buying gmo seeds, they can't, and know more about places like Johnny's seeds stocking 40+ monsanto owned seminis seeds, like the for profit "celebrity tomato" and "cheddar cauliflower" without telling their customers… unless you call and ask. We believe "open sourced seeds" are just as important as open pollinated for our children and grabdchildrens future. Just sayin!🌱

  9. Thank you for another excellent video. Heads up….a lot of paper these days, ESPECIALLY recycled paper contains high amounts of BPA.
    I avoid recycled papers.

  10. Thanks for all the great information. You guys have a really relatable style of presentation.

  11. Also don’t grow what doesn’t produce well. For instance, peas do not produce eneough for their cost to grow. Also corn. We have great lg semi organic farmers for corn, beans, potato’s… therefore those are plants we do not grow. We plan our gardens also based on what our big…good… gardeners are not growing. And we support them Except zucchini…everyone here can grow way too much zucchini

  12. And I love some of my own tomato’s and jalapeños. Also herbs. Anything I can dehydrate and/or can and/or freeze

  13. I planted cabbage carrots cumbers beats radishes sweet peas broccoli Everything died except for the cabbage The snow peas or sweet peas grew about a foot tall put out 2 or 3 beans and then wilted The cucumbers got about 6" tall and put out blooms and put miniature cucumbers out about 1" long and died

  14. I heard it’s illegal in the United States to sale GMO seeds for regular customers. So the GMO seed advertising is a strategy to sale their seed packets to you. Has anyone else heard this?

  15. I grew up thinking I hated tomatoes. But my granddaughter loves them. so i went and searched for some of the best. and we tried them all. and come to find out….I love tomatoes. Cherokee purple is my favorite.

  16. This year, I'm having great luck with green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and jalapeños! I'm so excited. This is my best garden yet. I've failed two years in a row. The weeds got absolutely out of control (they are HUGE).
