100-120 days does indeed look to be the standard
Germinated in less than a week by soaking in water overnight then planting on top of peat moss with organic fox farms ocean forest soil sprinkled on top. My department store bought seeds were a dollar or two for a small pack and I didn't expect them to grow but they did and are. After soaking them overnight many had already split and you could see the little white plant inside, some were already completely out of their shells. Within just a few days after putting them in soil you could see them starting to break surface. Sprouts are a little over an inch above ground now. Me and my son just ate a few of the sprouts last night and let me tell you they were lovely for lack of a better word.
How about Basic information as to what time of the year to plant Flax seed ??? Or can Flax be planted at any time of the year??????
120 days to germinate ?wtf goes to store buys 1kg of flax seeds.
My son spilled my store bout seed and I put the spoils into my planter and now I have many sprouts so they do germinate.
"grass"
120 days to germinate?… 0_o I planted my seeds over the weekend and they were all sprouted 4 days later
Anyone know how long the plants will keep producing flower and seed over time? I started some in a pot & some as microgreens in a tray. Looking forward to it.
This video makes no sense. She holds the bag of seeds and tells you that the seeds won't sprout, and then tells you to plant the seeds and they will sprout in 6 months. And then when they grow and produce seed, THOSE are the seeds you want. IDIOCY IN ACTION!
I bought some flax seeds at Kroger in the bulk candy/nut aisle and I just tossed them all over my new sunflower beds and I've got at least 1,000 that have germinated. The seeds were gloden brown, so I assumed they were baked, but the container didn't specify if they were raw or baked, but they're growing like crazy and that was only like 12 days ago that I scattered them on the fertile soil. I have no idea what I'm going to do with all of that flax. Lol
Did you plant the Bobs flax seed or buy special flax seeds ? Thanks
Very misleading video.
Flax seeds germinate within 4 days, you need to rinse them well.
Put them in a container with a lid and wash and rinse every 8-10 hours, keep in dark place. You'll see the germination within 2 days, keep rinsing for the next 2 days, and only then you can move them to a pot, so they will not get moldy.
Put them in tissue it grows faster trust me
I just saw a video of sprouting flax from Whole foods .. it sprouted fine.. maybe not all are baked…
So how do I know which flax seed I can buy to plant? I simply look up flaxseeds and it comes up with a bunch of different kinds and flowers.
