Many of us are apartment dwellers who live in urban centers. Although, like many, I do not own a house with a yard, I have still found a way to create a Japanese Garden inspired Balcony where I keep Japanese maples among other beautiful companion plants.

Hello. I love your garden especially the maple trees. How cold does it get in your cold room where you overwinter them? I live in Canada where winters can be as bitter (-40 deg C USDA hardiness zone 3) or even worst than in Chicago and that is actually what is keeping me from getting japanese maple tree. I know I can not overwinter them on the ground, but if I should bring them inside the house where temps are kept at normal temp 20's-22 deg C, or keep them in my unheated garage, or build a cold frame in my raised garden bed if I keep them in containers.
Really beautiful small garden š!! Now I am wondering how to make Japanese maple work indoors š . I do not have any balcony nor outside space but I am growing vegetables, herbs and fruits garden indoors. Pretty much all the research I have made reinforce that it is impossible. So far, it has grown well and I hope to post updates soon on my channel. The odds are against me but so far so good š±šæ. Thank you for sharing your beautiful little garden āØ!

it took a large number of people all working together over the last two decades to create this much mess in my life. i know every last one of them too. all i needed to know was who is the benefactor of my pain and why are excuses needed to begin with.

Nice job!
