  1. Did you say you were going to add dried molasses to the garlic bed? I've never heard of putting that into the garden, what does it do, where do you get it? I've been cleaning up too. It is alot of work but sometimes you find extra fruit and veggies you weren't even aware of–bonus!

  2. Great video, Brandon. Letting the people know all the work that is involved with the CLEANUP. I think you had a bountiful season. I, too, haven't planted my garlic yet. I plan on planting my garlic in the holes of my 'cinder block' raised bed'. Thank you for taking us on your gardening journal.

  3. I cleaned up my garden beds last weekend. It's sad to see the warm season crops go, but the changing of seasons is calming.

  4. Dried Molasses is used to quickly stimulate microbes in the soil and give an indirect benefit of fertility. It also in many cases will run fire ants off the property, which we have a problem with, Will go into more detial in upcoming vids.

  5. It was starting to die off and yellow, Last year I actually cut them back ealrier in Oct. I'm a little behind than what I would like.

  6. Thanks, I like the vids for reference, in many cases I look back at previous years videos and see the timing and variances form year-to-year.

  7. Nice [green tomato] wire basket. Where did you get it?
A great weed block besides card board, is straw mulch and dibble planting. You may want to consider a bigger garden [including cayanne pepper] so you don't have to eat vermin / varmin that are currently eating your garden goodies. Consider spraying your garden with cayanne. A spraying a day, keeps them varmin/s away.

  8. I'm trying to work up the courage to start my own garden. I'm of limited means, & quite overwhelmed. Any advice on how to start?

  9. Start with what you like to eat, or use everyday in cooking. Peppers, onions, tomatoes, string beans. If you don't have a lot space they can be grown in pots. They grow fast and are easy to start. Don't take it so seriously. Everybody makes mistakes when they start. It will save you a few bucks. Good luck!

  10. It can be some work. I don't worry about keeping mine very pretty as I get older. I am sorry you have rats. It may be from an empty house nearby? We had that happen once. Beautiful garden, weeds and all! :)!!! Love your pumpkins!!! I haven't ever grown one in my 51 years!!! Argh! Lol.

  11. That may be something they didn't tell you. But anyone with half a brain know there is a cleanup coming.. I knew that when I was 10 years old. My gardens were never that messy he is a slob sorry.. Ever hear about clean as you go? Very insulting video..  The rats come when there is a mess He can't be serious he is going to eat rats?
