thanks, best I have seen on doing this, straight to the point, another guy was still waffling about Lord know what after 2.5 minutes.
The roots I have are much much smaller than yours, no green on them at all, but I can see which bit is the top and which is the root so I will give in a go in some small pots at first started indoors and will see what happens.
They look kind of 'dead' at the moment but I guess I will know soon enough if they are going to grow!!
Hello i planted 10 bare root Ozark beauty everbearing strawberries over 1 month ago and there is no sign of growth.Can you say if this is normal or are my roots bad ? they were planted in loose soil mixed with home made compost and placed in direct sunlight and watered every two days based on the soil (if it looks dry or not) .I purchased the roots from Home Depot, one root had some growth on it when i opened the package but this soon fell off after planting.

Hello! I live in Northeast Ohio and would like to plant some strawberries this year. It is now late June. I have a raised bed with organic soil and sweet peat ready to go. There are at least 3 months in this growing season where the roots could firmly take hold. Is it too late this season to plant bare root strawberries, in order to harvest some berries next season?
