Sir .. how can we save slip or parts ( not seed ) for next harvest …
Onion , carrot or any starch tubour, pineapple, sweet potato slip, sugarcane, many herbs which don't have seeds ..
How can we preserve? Material?? Space and cost for that ?
As an ex commercial onion grower all I can say is good luck feeding the world your way.
Where are you growing? Here in the US or in Australia?
So can you eat the green tops?
Put my onions wherever i want ya knob head.
But sorry if this sounds stupid but onions overwinter – do carrots? As i am sowing carrots now and the onion sets aren't available until September – I am in France is this different??
Thank you for your great tips. I am interested to know what you beds are made of
Hi, good channel! Even though this video is kind of old it still shows up high in the search results. My question is how and when you harvest the onion seeds of the remaining plants? Or do you just leave them and let them self sow? And do you harvest the first year when planting from seeds? Sometimes it says onions planted from seeds should be re-planted and harvested the second year.
Can you use a fiam box to plant in for l live in a unit
Great video along with a bit of humour, subbed.
Thankyou for the video very informative
I have green onions that were topped just shove in 5 gallon buckets in my living room. They get lots of light. if it's true that they grow a layer for every leaf then they doing alright. They have pushed dirt out of the bucket so they must be growing.
Make sure you construct your sausage sandwiches correctly that’s all he asks 😂💜
@5:00 – I almost fell off my chair :)))) Thank you, sir ♥ 🙂
I have never bothered growing onions because they are so cheap2buy..But this year I planted many.Im sooo excited!!my kids may like onions more after helping plant them..😀
Love your videos.
that was an anal personality tip putting onions on the bottom he he I know because I am anal also about things like that lmao !! Of all other countries I think Aussie's & Australia is very similar to the U.S. & Americans in so many ways.
My advice is get some seeds and put em in the soil…. you will get a lot more than what you paid for the seeds if your soil isnt just absolutely horrible. You can learn from mistakes and get better but if dont try you aint never gonna get anything
I don’t always grow whatever it is your episodes are about, but regardless I watch your videos because just a quick analogy you’re like the Morgan Freeman of the garden so you’re really easy to listen to and plus your information is really good to
please specify your months not only season bec ur watchers are from other countries and different season with Australia im living in tropical.. country the phils.
Really good and unforgettable lesson. Thanks.
I've always loved your videos – I find them very informative and I learn so much from you but Fake News! Everybody knows that onions go ON TOP of the sausage! 😁
Do you compost the onion leaves/ greens?
Stunning.
Thank you for giving me permision to grow onions any way I damn well please in terms of spacing.
Can you cut the green leaves to use as spring onions without pulling the onion out?
This man could feed half of Queensland.
What about snipping off the tops part way through the cycle?
pen1s
Very smart.

Are your seasons metric or imperial?
