Sharing my monstera’s story for #MyRescuePlant (created by @leighkiyoko and @apartmentbotanist) – Back in September 2014, I found a classified ad for an unwanted plant: a Monstera deliciosa. The previous owners expressed dissatisfaction with how the plant just kept growing outward in a gangly fashion. I happily bought it from them for $10. It’s now one of my most beloved plants! 📷 2) the image from the classified ad – I’m still using the same pot! I’ve added some new soil occasionally – this is “top dressing”.
📷 3) the night I brought it home – back then, it could fit in a compact car. Now, I would need a large van to move it!
