  1. I've used grow bags ( Walmart reusable bags) in a kiddie pool system. I loosely followed Larry Hall's kiddie pool grow system.
I just poked a drain hole I didn't do any plumbing or auto fill valves. I'm not handy like that lol
I also used his rain gutter grow system ( again no plumbing just mosquito fish in gutters because I didn't cover it) with buckets. My things grew well, particularly tomatoes.
This year I'm doing totes and in ground. Oh, and self watering buckets I've had a couple of years already. I stacked them to save space after seeing yours stacked. Trying to use what I have and put plants wherever I can.

  2. You can definitely avoid dealing with the cancer causing fertilizer. All you have to do is buy your starts from your LOCAL NURSERY as opposed to those Bonnie Plants sponsored by Monsanto at those home improvement and big box stores.

  3. Although the containers are low cost, they do add up. So I'm looking for other options.

  4. Tractor supply sold their food safe bucket for 3.79 last year, now 4.99 IF they have them

  5. Good afternoon from Sunny Savannah Georgia I always I always give a like and I am a subscriber. But today I wanted to let you know how appreciated you are. Your methods and tips have changed the way I grow my garden. Everything has improved and is looking great. The composting in place has totally changed my life. It solved two majors problems for me: waste and fertilizer. Again thank you so much for sharing your life with us!!!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฅ’๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒถ

  8. Can someone share how many plants we put in each 18 lb tote? I have tomatoes. Cukes, zucchini, summer squash, green beans, arugula and much more..thank you Iโ€™m advance!

  9. Robbie, thank you for your common sense discussions about the importance of growing your own food. As corporate profits rise and wages stagnate, we need to be paying attention to our own self-preservation. You are so right about how much healthier your own food is than store-bought. Please keep bringing up these subjects. Happy gardening!

  10. Robbie, thank you for giving people accurate information about the food they buy. Please also mention that more than 70 percent of non-organic fresh fruits and vegetables sold in the U.S. contain traces of potentially harmful pesticides, according to a new report from Environmental Working Group, Apr 7, 2022

  11. I just planted a box with collards – and I'm excited to see how they grow! I also planted a cucumber plant I got at a school fundraiser plant sale in a smaller box. I love that they are teaching those kids to garden! ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. I just love the sound of your voice. Thanks for sharing, the gardening and hummingbirds!

  13. I have a tomato plant I planted a slice of tomatoes from aldies that sprouted in the tomato. Its in with my elephant plant and its up to the ceiling and I get cherry tomatoes on it here and there. They are sweet. I started last year.

  14. Love the way you do things. My husband and I juice everyday for past several years. Celery juice, Oh my didn't know celery grew so easy here. Though I have seen my daughter grow it. I have a regular size neighborhood backyard. So I grow mostly salads and herbs we like.
In my 3 raised beds. thank you

  15. Oh yes, I would love to grow some watermelon. The big green ones like I grew up with as kid in Texas…we lived next door to a watermelon field.

  16. Thanks so much for your videos, they have inspired me to start container gardening. After I watched your video which was my 1st one I was later driving down the road and what do I see? A pile of free containers and buckets, ah jackpot im ready to start. I so have a new outlook on gardening thanks to you and a way to use my compost supplies. So excited to start, I'll keep watching daily the more tips the better.

  17. What is the new way you do juicing. I heard that kiwi fruit is the best to fight disease. Have you tried to grow kiwi trees? I'm trying to find the video on making tote lids as domes keeping bugs and birds out. Thank you for the cole slaw. You are the best.
