August for the gardener isn’t for the faint of heart and on this summer cottage garden tour, I admit something that’s not easy for me to admit… I need help. Seriously.

  1. A BIG WELCOME to you as we walk through our August gardens! In this video, we give you some aerial shots of the gardens to show you the location of each garden. I hope it's helpful for you to get a lay of the land!

  2. Last year was my first year of gardening and I still very exited about it, because I know it's going to take time before I feel satisfied over 60%. In my vision my garden has to offer fruits, nuts, and vegetables; it has to contain private spaces for relaxation and summer kitchen with big table for gatherings; water element preferably with running water, outdor ๐Ÿšฟ; white garden spot because I love white flowers and the fragrances of the spring. The first ๐ŸŒณ to bloom in my garden is a Cornelian cherry, and the last fruit to pick up an ๐ŸŽ. I want to create seasonal and vertical garden. For the winter I picked evergreens like junipers, ilex, Italian cypress, and buxus ( I live in Bulgaria) I want to plant persimmon for whinter pick up, it has beautiful orange fruits… My favorite Autumn plants are the Wild grape, it has a gorgeous red color and the Japanese maple Its ๐Ÿ is good for tempura!:)The first flowers I love so much-snowdrops and the last in my garden chrysanthemums. All I know is I have a work to do, a lott of it:)

  3. the color of the hydrangea ๐Ÿ˜ฑitโ€™s horror!the soil is mysterious, according to Japanese folklore or wutevs where you planted it was maybe a grave many, many years ago.Tasha Tudor gots lots of lupinusใ€‚my Grandma does, too
    your place is beautiful

  4. It was Vita Sackville West who originally said…If it doesn't work/you don't like it…get rid of it.. Monty Don learned at her elbow.

  5. Iโ€™ve watched this vlog several times and each time I see something new. I remember when you built the stream, now look at it! Blessings.

  6. Your garden looks magical. I was almost expecting a fairy to pop on screen. And your grapes look amazing!

  7. I work in my yard daily . I have a small English garden . A kitchen garden . 2 big flower beds out front . Love the English style gardens . Your home and garden is Amazing. Learning watching you about your flowers. Please show more videos of the gardens and planting – vegetables gardens too . โค๏ธ

  8. You may find that quite naturally you'll end up with 2000 Japanese Anemones. They self seed quite freely and they sucker. They are also nearly impossible to get rid of if you ever change your mind. They are very pretty but can be a bit of a thug and will happily take over a garden if you let them.

  9. Hello, a hug from Chile ๐Ÿ™‚
I LOVE your garden and house! That shabby look is my fav ๐Ÿ™‚
I only need more roses hehehehe…

  10. Your voice is soo soothing. I'm in the process of building my dream garden, too! Your video is so encouraging; it makes me see how much can be accomplished in three years (my garden is only 2 months old). God bless you and your family!

  11. What are the vines shaped like hearts under your window? And the vines forming an arch over your front door?

  12. Wow! What are those fabulous heart shaped leaves that are growing in a horseshoe looking arbor? They are at the end of the video. I love and want them. ๐Ÿ’š

  13. Iโ€™ve only just found your blog and I think your garden is beautiful. I come from the South West of England and I am a passionate gardener so watch Monty Don every week. It was lovely to hear that you do too. I donโ€™t know whether youโ€™ve started work on your potager yet but you may like to take a look at Rosemary Vereyโ€™s potager in Barnsley House, nr Cirencester. She influenced a lot of gardener designers in this country like myself..

  14. I love seeing reality. August is so hot, no one even wants to be outside, I sometimes even just give up and think, I'll do it next year. But really it is beautiful. Just all the natural growth๐Ÿ’ž

  15. I'm so in love with your flower gardens. Can I ask what you fertilize with? I cannot get enough of your video's. Thank you for sharing.

  16. Beautiful! Is your wisteria in the shade? Mine is kind of under/ inbetween two maple trees…the green of it grows, but in three years I still have no flowers ๐Ÿค”

  17. I see your a fan of Monty Dom of Gardeners world. Monty is a Legend in the Garden world. I've learned so much from Monty. But saying that I'm learning a lot watching your videos. Always look forward to seeing your next video ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

  18. If I didnโ€™t live so many states away, I would love to come and help you in your gardens Shaye!! So beautiful, and you two compliment each other so well. Please donโ€™t stop sharing it all with us!! ๐Ÿ’œ

  19. I would rather have abundance and wild than paucity and tame any day. But even a relaxed garden needs a gardener's hand, so I do understand the need to carefully add and edit at the same time. What a lovely place to call home.

  21. This is a wonderful way to keep your garden all natural and it certainly does have a rustic appeal to it
