Japanese gardens (日本庭園 nihon teien) are traditional gardens whose designs are accompanied by Japanese aesthetic and philosophical ideas, avoid artificial ornamentation, and highlight the natural landscape. Plants and worn, aged materials are generally used by Japanese garden designers to suggest an ancient and faraway natural landscape, and to express the fragility of existence as well as time’s unstoppable advance.
Ancient Japanese art inspired past garden designers. By the Edo period, the Japanese garden had its own distinct appearance.

Incredible japan! Japan is a country of flower gardens. I love it because I am a dedicated nature lover. What a heavenly & amazing scene presented by you! We love japan since 1940, you can find its meaning from history of indian freedom movement. We salute the sun & japan because both are in the east 🌻🌻🌻 Sukhdev sharma, Lecturer Hindi language, nagaur, rajasthan(India).

Japan is the perfect country.
Dear person, genuine repentance and recitation of those words will protect you from coronavirus:
"Falun Dafa is Good" and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is Good".
Falun
Dafa (or Falun Gong) is a spiritual cultivation practice for mind and
body that is widely spreading in the world, it is based on the
principles of the Universe:
真 Truthfulness
善 Compassion
忍 Forbearance
It
includes gentle exercises and meditation. It helped millions of people
to regain health, peace of mind and obtain spiritual fulfilment. Since
1999 this peaceful practice has been brutally persecuted by the CCP in
Mainland China. More than 100 million people around the world practice Falun
Gong.

Thanks for the video. I'm designing a garden in Miami, but am using these principles as the basis.

French gardens and Japanese garden exemplify two diametrically opposed approaches of ''nature''.
French gardens are the products of Cartesian dualism that promotes that DOMINATION of man over nature.
Japanese garden are the products of Japan's ancestral SHINTOIST heritage which promotes man living WITH nature, among it, part of it, not separated from it, not dominating it.
Shintoism is animism. Animism is horizontally-minded.
Cartésianisme is pro verticality, pro-hierarchy, pro-domination.
Although French gardens leave me in awe they cause in me a suffocating feeling of dread and of control and of perfectionism.
Whereas Japanese gardens seem to be screaming at me ''let it go, relax'' and ''embrace Wabi Sabi and your imperfections''.
The audio stops at 9:24.
bruh who else noticed Nujabes playing in the background at the start?
the japanese gardens just look so good i have jade pebbles and cherry trees but need to design more

We only had one small clip of a WOMAN on her small balcony. The rest was MALE. I can't believe that women did not have an influence and a part in Japanese gardens. Not the male Gravel control gardens…but the leafy watery ones.
I dont understand how they are able to avoid weeds!
