  1. Lovely to hear your little bunch of fat birds bursting with enough contentment, food and energy to sing their little songs. It's very quiet in the Nebraska Chapter of Goddess Permaculture now. It's too cold for singing for a few days. My neighbor provides heated water and lots of bird seed. In my area there's spilled hen food for them and seed heads all over the plants and weeds. I don't mow these down in some big fall clean out. The tiny critters need those weed seeds and plant seeds don't they? Listening and watching your tiny robin singing and looking at you brought a tiny tear into my eye. Sweet things.

  2. We have the larger North American robin and they were out in full force today. Enjoying worms and grubs on the warm soil. The little Bealtaine robins are so intelligent and very aware that they are not in any danger. They came up to me a few times when I was walking around the woodland. Little sprites! We also have some ice/snow coming next week. Hopefully not as much as you have received, even though it's beautiful. Why wouldn't someone just check out one of the hundreds of weather sites to see what the temperature is in Ireland? LOL! That's strange. Hope you had a wonderful day. Blessings my friend. xxx

  3. Dear Colette, you are most welcome … I adore the calendars, maps and book I've got. I love the energies you've put into creating them … and producing them 'locally'.
Self seeded parsley! … how lovely. Parsley is so resilient … and good for the body.
Loved to see the Robin singing.
    Blessings Colette and Jack.🌷

  4. Thank you for this video. I always wondered why my Belgian mother called robins, rouge-gorge. Seeing your robin's color pattern being different the the robins in the USA, it makes sense now!

  5. The nectarine tree… all those buds… Wow! The evolution of the tunnel is coming along very nicely. I'm excited by the renewed energy. Your enthusiasm is certainly coming through in you voice. Yes the light is coming back fast. I suspect you will have minimal damage if any to the gardens and woodland. That's what buds do is shelter the new growth. And unless it's terribly cold for a long while, the snow actually helps insulate the new growth. By all means just keep on being you!! Happy blessings

  6. Just when I think Bealtaine Cottage can't get any more beautiful, there is your little red breasted robin singing his little heart out amidst the snow covered branches! Because our seasons are reversed, I can count on pictures of your garden to cool me down as the heatwave continues here in Australia. Then when winter winds are howling here, over there your garden is in its stunning, summer finery. Once again, thanks for sharing, Colette.

  7. I don't know why, but the robbin singing touched me so deeply. Thank you so much for taking care of all of them.

  8. That was a good laugh about you and temperature gauges and how they 'pass you by'…:):)
The poly tunnel feels like a nurturing environment. She feels like the garden where fruits, vegetables , flowers and herbs grow and holds the mysteries the creative process. The Madonna and Child will be lovely if you decide to create a grotto.
    Blessings, Colette.

  9. Thank you for this video. I had a very rough day at work yesterday and this video was very calming. Love to hear the Robin singing.

  10. Colette, youre a Legend! I'm starting my permaculture journey here in Kildare and have been freaking out about the snow and its effect on my newly planted bareroot trees. Youre right…its spring in Ireland…and this happens…youve reminded me to relax about it all! Thank you!

  11. We're starting a small homestead this year & we have about an acre to work with. I love your ideas. I want less yard, more plants, trees, and flowers.

  12. Ha! I remember that storm in London. I lived there at the time and slept right through it including our back wall blowing over and all the other chaos!

  13. I’m curious about your greenhouse. I think it looks so cozy, and I love the idea with the Madonna figure. I also have been thinking about envoking such energies in my planting area when it gets a bit warmer where I live. Do you heat up the greenhouse? ❤️

  14. Mother Earth's personality and weather is so vast and great – she knows exactly what she's doing – let's all trust like Colette and honour her like Colette.

  15. We pay attention to the temperature because much of what we grow is frost-sensitive, and either need to be brought in if in a pot, covered with a blanket, or hastily harvested.

  16. Laughed at the weather comments. It made me think of the hillbilly thermometer I saw for sale. It was simply a board with a string and said if string isn't moving it's a nice day. If string is moving it's windy. If string is dry it isn't raining but if wet it's raining. There was more but I can't remember. Now if you're wondering what a hillbilly is that is a term used for people like me from West Virginia or in most of the area in the Appalachian mountains. Blessings to you and dear Jack.
