  1. Shadow love's you. I like Baxter's little fuzzy face. If Matt is going to your house maybe he can help you.πŸ€— Make sure you warn him about the bobcats!

  2. Aww, there comes you little buddy just a running to follow you. She has adopted you bud. The trees look good. Raised beds will be cool
Be safe, Be good, God bless

  3. You can use a drip system to keep things watered and put them on timers that would come on while you’re gone all day.. check out Hidden Heights video from earlier in the summer or late spring to see how he set his up …if you use Bumble Bee Junction magic dirt recipe you can stock pile it a bit at a time until you have enough to fill the beds..not so expensive that way..

  4. Enjoy a beer tonight and relax. Sounds like you’ll need if you are going do all the work in the yard tomorrow! 😊

  5. Good plans, Jared. Did you see in the Crocker live chat someone said solar lights are $1 at Walmart?

  6. You are for real! Do it small, do it right and make it sensible and enjoyable! Those are cute little turds!

  7. I like that idea about the raised beds. Something to think about, get them up high enough where you don't have to get on your knees to work them. With my leg in the shape it's in, mine have to be higher than most.
Raised beds are so much easier to work and produce a lot better.
Take care and God bless you

  8. Fill those raised beds half way with wood logs . Then fill with dirt, then use the old hay to cover your beds.

  9. Love your videos !! Cant wait to see your raised beds. Go Dallas Cowboys !! My favorite team !! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸšœπŸšœπŸˆπŸˆπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

  10. Great plans! I’m sure you will much happier with the raised beds!
Shadow is a perfect name for her πŸ‘

  11. Relax enjoy have some beers. Love your buddies !!! Can't wait to see how you do your garden. Much love !!

  12. Love Shadows name. Fits her and Baxter is so cute. I will be thinking of you working outside in our Texas Heat. I will be in an air-conditioned home with my cousins playing 42 dominoes. I will check in later to see if you posted anything. Wishing you a great productive day.

  13. I had to chuckle watching, as I was watching the cat following you, and remembering you say you didn't know her name, I thought – name her Shadow – she apparently likes following you all over the place, and then you said you finally named her blah blah blah, I had to laugh

  14. Had a layover in Dallas Wednesday night. Wishing you the best. Great ideas for.the garden. Love from Alabama brah!

  15. I wiil be using Bumblebee recipe in my raised beds from now on! Mark and Tina good people!

  16. In my mind it would be best to pick the fruit and let the tree build a better deeper root system 🎈Just my 2 cents worth 🎈 have a super weekend 🎈

  17. Jared pick the fruit off of your trees and use them and pull the weeds away so the trees will grow. If there some of that compost ready ,put it around your trees. Next put a fence around them to deter the goats from trying to eat them.lemon trees and limes will grow fast so don’t worry but don’t let that good fruit on the ground go to waste. I hope you have a pitchfork to stir your compost. Take care and stay cool.

  18. Jared ,keep the grass well away from the citrus trees. The root systems are competing for the water and nutrients.

  19. Crocker Doodle Doo…..hay! It's raining here in northwest Georgia tonight. We needed the rain! Those limes look almost ready to pick. Have a great weekend Jared, keep on keeping on 😁 πŸ‘πŸ€˜ BIGGUN

  20. Oh Jared I saw Shadow come a running to you. I thought that was so cute. Just do a little every day but take some time to relax. Enjoyed the video. <3

  21. Since they are so small, I would pick the fruit so the energy goes to growing the plant. Something to thing about is running a drip line to your trees. You can put it on a timer. One less thing you will have to worry about daily.
I’m out here in SOCal. We have hot summers. I have my trees on a drip line with a timer I use daily in the summer. When it starts cooling down and raining I’m able to turn it off and let nature water πŸ’¦πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ»

  22. Raised beds will be great for you Jared. You definitely won’t have to worry about weeds as much. Shadow is a perfect name for the kitty. She loves you. Looking forward to seeing the garden beds come together. Anyway Jared have a good evening and will be watching tomorrow.πŸ‘β€οΈ

  23. does anyone know why the number of subscribers dont show anymore? it just shows subscribed on mine now….strange

  24. I bought a bunch of gardening bags. I have 3 gal to 10 gal. The clay in AL can be difficult, so, in the spring, I'm going to spray home made Roundup, use the no weed cloth, and some mulch. You may have use fore some yourself. It will require frequent watering, but, I exp I will get much better yields.

  25. You have got a green thumb. Those plants look great. To bad you can't train shadow to do the mowing. She really loves you. Have a great evening Jared.

  26. Remove the fruit from the plants, they need the energy to the roots, clran weeds and mulch around them good.

  27. Hello Jared hope you are doing well. Great idea for the rasied beds, take it easy tonight and rest because tomorrow I know you're going to be working hard at it. Fruit trees look good maybe digging some of the weeds around and mulching them. Much love and big Tx hugs from South Tx.

  28. Really liking the Vermont shirt! My Dad started using raised beds in 1971 for his garden! And used them until his death in 2005. Raised a lot of good wholesome food in them beds! They was made from metals studs from a metal building that was torn down. Good luck in your garden adventure ! Try to not work so hard! Lol!

  29. Check your messages to see my raised beds. I’d pull the limes and let the plant work on growing.

  30. Glad to work with ya on a soil mix for your boxes if you wish… I know a "little bit" about raised bed gardening… ahahaha

  31. Love Shadow she really lives up to her name 🐈
I just got a 9 week old Burmese kitten who we named Luna 🐈
    Love the garden plans πŸ‘
    🦘🐨🦘🐨🦘

  32. I have no experience with lime trees….but that is amazing how small that tree is and it is producing already. That's crazy! I'm curious too if you should pick them so the tree uses the energy to grow.

  33. Where are the animals. Saw 1 goat & 1 chicken. Part of homesteading is not a lot of help. Basically yourself, just like living in the Bush. You can do it Jared.
