  1. You're awesome! I love your videos and you've helped me so much with my first really active year gardening!
Do you think you could do a video on silver mound artemisia and dusty millers? I just can't seem to get the right environment for mine! Thanks, and keep up the great inspiring work! ❤

  2. Love these monthly to dos! I’m going to try to keep my mandevilla using your repointing advice, great idea!

  3. Slowly I am learning how to glow plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables, I am finding gardening very therapeutic and inspiring, spending time outside with my hands in the earth while observing nature grow.

  4. depending upon zone plant daffodils (if you can get them as inventory limited now).

  5. Wow, such great information for what to do in October! Your videos are always so helpful. I admire your knowledge and passion for what you do. Your explanations are on point as well. 🌞

  6. Jim,   If I have 3 different types of figs growing here in Missouri and I am wanting your opinion on how to store my figs for the winter.  I have Olympian, little ruby, and celeste.  They are growing in 20 gallon containers for now.  I do have a garage that has 3 sides of it into the ground, however it is known to get down to zero or below here in Missouri.  Would you do any more then simply set them in the garage with a blanket over them.

  7. In the fall, could the soiled wood chips from a chicken coop be added? I’m afraid of Messing up the balance too much.

  8. Thanks for all you do. Another point should be that everybody can check with their local horticulture center to get information. In Oklahoma we have the OSU extension service with 12 month plans and all types of gardening info including lawns. I notice a lot of people asking you questions but these would be hard to answer for different climates. I believe I subscribed when there was just a few thousand of us. You have done very well and enjoy all of your videos. Stay safe people

  9. Question specifically on dahlias, I am also NC, 7B. Do you dig them up? I planted 4 dahlias since I relocated in 2017. I have not dug them up, but three have survived and bloomed each season, but they are definitely not robust. In fact, one did not bloom at all until September. I thought about maybe digging one up and trying that this year. I have already dug all my caladiums out, at least the ones I want to keep.

  10. Hey Jim, I'm in Rhode Island which is a 6b, expected first frost is 10/15. Is it too late to plant a mulberry tree? Should I try to get it in the ground this fall or wait for spring?

  11. its my favorite time of year because the big box stores mark gardening stuff way down. Also just an FYI. the black zip ties hold up better in the sun.

  12. Appreciating your channel! When is the best time to add compost and mulch to existing flower beds? Do you remove old mulch before adding new mulch?

  13. You are the ONLY ONE Jim I have seen on youtube who can give out the BEST FALL GARDENING TIPS! I have learned so much from you through the years just watching your videos…..Thank you so much!

  14. I want to make sure I am thinking correctly. You said I can shred my leaves 🍁 from my oak tree and use it as mulch? I’m double checking because another YTuber indicated you shouldn’t do this because if robes nitrogen from your plants. If I can do this without hurting my plant it will save me a lot of money on mulch. My oak tree drops leaves for a full month and it is HUGE!!

  15. WHAT.DONU THINK OF JADAM GARDENING???

Back in 70s that typenof.fertilzer was used them.dropped…was it because.of bad microbes to humans.

  16. I just discovered this channel I am in the Chattanooga TN area so also 7b and I’ve been all about gardening this season.

  17. Another great video. I do have a question: I propagated some crape myrtle shoots last month that shot up from the roots of a large crape myrtle I had to remove. They are doing ok but I don't know what to do with them this winter. I'm in Louisville. Should I stick them in the ground now? Should I bring them inside for the winter?

  18. these checklists are so helpful. thanks! if we have seeds that say direct sow in the fall, do we do that in october? i’m also in zone 7b.

  19. Thank you for sharing!very brilliant ideas!i really enjoyed watching!😃😊🤩👍have a wonderful day!😊new friend here👍watching from Japan!❤️❤️💕💕💕

  21. My kaleidoscope abelias in my front landscape (planted by builder 2 years ago) have gotten HUGE and I’m considering moving them to the side of the house. Would you recommend the root pruning you mentioned now and transplanting in November?

  22. Hi! Thank you for all of the great information. Could you do a video on you bringing in your houseplants and tropicals for winter? You mentioned mandavilla and I would love to know how to keep them alive inside.
