Learning what parts of plants are edible is something I’m incredibly passionate about. So let’s get straight into it and start off with a new plant I have just planted here to help cover the gap in my back fence….

  1. Thank you for this valuable information! I will add some of these edible plants to my garden. I’ve been growing various sprouts & microgreens inside, then planting, what I don’t immediately eat, in my garden. Everything is edible.

  2. Did you know that every part of the sunflower plant is edible? Sunflowers are edible from root to stem to leaf to petals tobthe whole flower to the whole seed. You can fry up the buds or flowers and stir fry them in olive oil with salt or bacon grease, and the Buds taste as good as artichokes. Not quite, but a similar flavor! Some people wait until the flower has bloomed or started to produce young immature seeds, then they stir fry. I have not waiting for my buds to flower.

  3. You make it look very possible for my urban friends to grow lots of delicious greens in a small space. I love how your garden wraps around the yard and you still have room for a lawn!

  4. Great vid. The mulberry leaves surprised me! I live in the states and have a huge tree and a couple bushes in my yard.

  5. hi: if leaves are too tough such as an orange tree leave . . . can you grind them into a flour? I tried searching for any entries of leave flour. but I don't see anyone doing it.

  6. I am a big fun of pumpkin leaves/shoots, they are so tender and nice in soup. And a bit sweet

  7. I ripped of a my big leaf and like a thumb size ripped of and ate it and after the side of my tounge started to sting, and it’s had like 4 spots in a row.. idk if I would be okay..-

  8. Does anyone know if all types of squash leaves are edible? I have butternut squash growing not sure if the leaves and flowers are edible.

  9. Thank you for this great information! Also Nasturtiums ! Beautiful flowers and the whole plant is edible, from the flowers to the leaves !
