  1. I completely agree. When I started I had things coming up and no idea what the hell they were. Gardening is just plain good for the soul.
I go out in the mornings, before the sun comes up over the oak tree. And sit with my coffee, watch the dogs play and think about what else
I want to grow. And take notice of how things are growing and doing. Thanks for the great ideas.

  2. Very helpful! Would love to hear about vegetables that you may want to group together in a bed if you can make a video on that would appreciate it. Thank you!

  3. I am now officially addicted to your videos. I do have a question about planning the garden. i have research what to plant and not plant near one another, and following advice to start small as a newbie AND i still want to try to grow corn but cannot find any sources about when to plant this fall and also what plants will complement and what plants should not be near it. Can you help? I have 5 types of seeds – beans(bush), carrots, corn, scallions and mixed greens

  4. Since i have built my raised beds and they are set for now i took my very cheap drawing software and printed out my garden then i just write in what i plant for each bed. Kinda nerdy but it works

  5. Oh, I really like this, I’ve only gone so far as to sketch out where I put which plants but there’s a lot more to consider data-wise. I will also keep a notebook!

  6. I am so glad you had dirty hands in this video!
I am having trouble even writing down the date when I plant seeds! But I’m going to try to do better with my winter garden! Promise!

  7. I was going to ask you about journaling your garden. Do you keep a daily journal as well? Pest problems, harvest date (expecting),…? I (try!!!) to keep a daily journal, writing down what I planted but as the plant grows, I forget when the harvest date should be….then I find myself leafing through my journal trying to find the date of the plants planting date….gets frustrating!! By the way, your seeds rock!! This has been my best garden year yet!!! Thank you!!

  8. do you typically recommend laying the beds out north to south like that? My garden is on the south side of my house with basically no shade except one palm tree. I would like to implement trellising and i just can pin down if i want north to south or east to west beds. in saint pete too
