Backyard Garden Tour!! This weekend I visited a garden with which I have lots of experience. It belongs to my friend Elaine, a neighbor and excellent gardener… and fellow mom carpooler when our kids were little. On the spur of the moment, I asked her if Stewart and I could come over and conduct a video tour of her beautiful backyard… Complete with a small herb garden. Treehouse. Outdoor fireplace and dining area. Whew!
So many great ideas to steal in this video, my friends. You will want to take notes! Both big statements and little touches. Hope you enjoy it and if you do make sure to like it, subscribe and forward to someone who might get some ideas from this wonderful family space!
Also, make sure to watch the container video we did earlier in the year with plants from the southern living plant collection.

Very tasteful small touches… "It is natural for the heart and spirit to take pleasure and enjoyment in all things that show forth symmetry, harmony, and perfection. For instance: a beautiful house, a well designed garden, a symmetrical line,.." ~ Abdul-Baha, Baha'i Faith
Everything you do is beautiful, but it does sound a little arrogant to keep saying/implying that she mimics you in her garden design. Why not just say the garden style instead of, again, implying you invented it?
Enjoying this! I have a lot of nandina that has horribly invaded our burberry or whatever the pretty bushes are (green with rich red on top). I have a few other nandinas that I have sculpted into pretty shapes. Everyone tells me that nandina berries are toxic to birds. Some ppl say no… I don't know who/what to believe.
Late to this party…But I love what she did with her burning bushes… Is it too late when a burning bush is already mature to prune it like that??
Like this if you want to see Stuart.
I think at some point you need to do an outtake video…. put ‘the tree’ snip in 🙋♀️
A..M..A..Z..I..N..G 😍 😍
Your good friend has a nice yard . I do love yours. I loved her fireplace hangout. I do some of the things you both do. Loved the tours.
I love this video.
May I ask what kind of roofing does she have over her pergola?
Very comforting
Just found this video! Beautiful! !!! Thank you so much for taking us on this tour of Elaine's garden. Trying to find the makeover video but I'm not having any success. Please let us know the name of the makeover video. Or was it a project that did not get done because of the Arctic blast?
Hi early this is a absolutely rubbish garden, she clearly hasn’t taken care of her garden,. Also please use your words correctly as you using descriptive words that don’t make sense.
💕
This was a wonderful garden tour, really pretty yard! Thank you for sharing!
Marnie Baker, a fan of your show Linda. Up here in Ontario Canada
I love Linda's backyard tours, so many good ideas!
I love the way you are always taking care of Stewart. Telling him not to fall. Hahaha
It would be great if someone inboxed me now

It would be great if someone inboxed me now

Every person or drink is mixed with love.
Hi Linda.. I don't know how I missed this tour.. maybe I wasn't a "follower" yet! Its great to get into someone's garden and have a tour discussing the origins and the gardeners vision of what they want to achieve in their space. I'm amazed at the size of your lot sizes….they're very large! I believe that large homes such as yours, were allotted deep lots in keeping everything in proportion. also means that there is a lot of work involved to maintain such a beautiful area. Thank you very much…just more inspiration for us gardeners!🙂
I love the family friendly garden ideas. I’m a Scientist turned Landscape designer and have a big garden. My 3 boys are helpful but also tend to run over my beds. (And chase me with bullfrogs as that did last night😂) Great advice and thanks for sharing!
The house 🏡 and garden 🌳🪴 TOURS are my Fav!!! 💚💚💚

i live watching you. It would be great if you had a show on tv.
Great garden. I like the walkway circling the entire garden. It's an idea I may use.
Take out that fence.
