2021 June Garden Tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSltZR2taSI
Hello! My name is Bethany and I grow things in my rooftop container garden in Chicago, zone 6a. In this video, I’ll show you what my garden looks like at the beginning of July.
The weather has gotten much warmer, which means the plants are shooting up in growth and most of the flowers have starting blooming adding a burst of color to the garden.

Gorgeous! Love that pretty pink Dahlia!
Everything looks so Beautiful! Great job That Emory Paul kinda looks like Mikayla Miranda
I just love your rooftop garden. Questions, which of your plants in containers do you take inside and which plants can handle the cold and wind chill during the winter? I have a small deck and would love to start a container garden on the deck. But I don't wanna take any plants inside. I live in Milwaukee.
I can imagine that a lot of perennial flowers aren't terribly great in a container garden, because they usually only flower for a short time. In a garden bed, they're usually combined with other perennials that flower at other times of the season. If a perennial stays small, like your delphinium, you could keep color in the container with annuals, but that would be hard to do with heuchera, because the plants are taking up so much of the container. I do love the blue of the delphinium, and your rose looks awesome!
Excelente jardรญn, maravilloso!!๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐ฟโ๐บ๐ต๐ธ๐ฅ๐๐๐
Can you plz suggest any perennials that will come back next year in containers or any winter hardy plants that can grow in pots as I also stay in Chicago.
Itโs beautiful!
Your garden looks amazing! Where did you get the white r bag pots?
Great garden tour Bethany!! I love seeing your garden grow – also a container gardener โบ๏ธ๐ชด
I actually thought your delphinium (?) was a larkspur so I agree it doesn't seem okay? My morning glory will not flower! Do you have any tips for growing them in pots? This is tempting me to get a raspberry plant. I love seeing hydrangeas in pots!! I purchased my first dwarf hydrangeas this year. And your herb garden looks great.
๐ผ๐ป๐โ๏ธ๐จโ๐พ I love to see your garden grow!!Its a great inspiration to me as I am also a gardener and YouTube creator. I see you put so much work and love into growing your garden! All the hard work is worth it to get to see the new growth everyday and soon harvest! lโm harvesting my first fruits and veggies of the season. The squash is delicious. Everything taste so much better home grown doesnโt it. I still have so much to learn about gardening and I appreciate your tips, tricks! Please Keep sharing! I would love to learn more about gardening from each other.
Why did you want caterpillars on your dill?
Great job on your garden, itโs doing great! Do you fertilize your dahlias? And what do you use? Wonderful job!

I love the pink in your garden ๐ธ ๐ Hard to believe that half the year is over already ๐ค
beautiful Garden i like the Boston fern , and those supper bells flowers love it thank you for sharing , ill be back on your next video
Is there any consideration to the added weight to the roof? Just curious if Iโm looking to do the same. If there were a heavy snow along with the weight of the soil in winter, could it be an issue?
Your garden looks so beautiful! Mine starts out beautiful then gets ruined because we have a groundhog who constantly destroys everything we are growing ๐
Iโm glad you enjoyed growing more herbs this year because I did too! ๐ชด
