A well planned vegetable garden is a productive vegetable garden. In this video we guide you through the process of producing the perfect design for your garden, including 5 key questions you should ask as you plan what you will grow.

We start by demonstrating how to plan your garden by hand using sketches and tables to draw up a schedule of what needs planting when. Then we take a look at how Garden Planner apps can help with this process and what advantages they bring.

If you love growing your own food, why not take a look at our online Garden Planner which is available from several major websites and seed suppliers:

  1. My raised bed garden is 5 ft deep. Husband thought it would help with my knees and back not to bend over. I have this same problem for 2 years with my tomato, pepper, bean leaves curling and looking like dino kale. I have had soil tested. Added osmocote &calcium. Is there a disease that the soil test wouldn't pick up on? Thanks
