  1. I love your garden set up. Carrie ..You explain everything so clearly more .More helpfull ideas I got that kiss on my face thank you for sharing. I am going to grow flowers and hanging cherry tomatoes .Enjoy the week end

  2. You should look into bulk compost, I just got a pickup load for 10$. You can put cardboard under a deep layer of compost and it should help with your grass and week problem

  3. Love this video! I'm about to plant Kale, Chives, Collard greens, Cilantro, green onions, two kinds of arugula, and possibly cabbage, possibly Basil. We just moved into our first house and so this is all very exciting.. I would love to hear about your natural pesticide! I don't have Instagram but I think I'll youtube it. Would love more videos like this. Subscribed! I also would love a composition pile but I'm afraid of how much work it is and how much space it takes up. We live in a skinny house so the yard is very very small. I guess maybe I'll just buy compost. I think the part I'm most nervous about is bugs. In the past bug problems have been frustrating, so I'd like to learn to prevent them if possible. Thanks for sharing about your garden! Sometimes it's best to learn beginner tips from beginners because everything is simple enough and not too complicated. I appreciate that. Gardening can easily get too complicated. (And then overwhelming) anyway, Thank you!

  4. You can also soak grass clippings in water four days and water garden with that grass water to add nutrients to plants

  5. You can try cardboard under your soil. It will help with th grass but will eventually become compost.

  6. I love what you used to make your beds! Great idea, that I will be stealing for my garden this year! Thanks!

  7. This is amazingly helpful! I was JUST talking to friends about how I have a grass lawn, and I'm not sure how to go from what it looks like now (patchy grass) to what you have (beautiful, functional raised bed gardens). Thanks for this video!

  8. 🌼🌺🌸🌷Wow, Your garden looks amazing! I can’t wait till to watch your updates to see how it grows. I’m a YouTube gardener too but I’m just learning as I grow. I am happy I found your channel it has so much to offer. I hope we can learn more from each other as we grow our gardens and our garden channels! Happy Planting!

  9. Thank you very much for this insight. I am just getting ready to start a garden in my backyard, this is the information I needed and I got it from here

  10. I'm having problems with deers and rabbits in my garden so I'm not planting much this year 😔 but this is really good idea to build raise beds. It's much easier than traditional ways.

  11. Great garden. But please dont say vegetables have feelings😅thats the number one line meateaters use to mock me for being vegan.

  12. Put cardboard down. It composts and you don’t have that plastic down (for keeping the grass at bay) also look into the lasagna method or back to Eden.

  13. thank you for this very helpful video. i'm going to begin my journey in a few weeks growing veggies for my family

  14. Cedar mulch is great at keeping grass from growing but I don’t know if that will affect your produce growth.

  15. FYI, In the future 8 days to 2 weeks before you make a new garden bed in the area you pick to make your garden put black plastic down on the ground and set your garden bed on it in the place you want to start your new garden. Let the sun and the plastic do the hard work for you, this will in 8 to 14 days kill all of the weeds and grass in this area in this time period. Top soil does not run deep in fact good top soil is only 2 to 3 inches thick so don't dig out the grass kill it and the roots. Remember on important thing NEVER LET A WEED GO TO SEED!!!

  16. Hey can someone please direct me to the right information to start a garden for beginners and what she was talking about the vegetables and what other vegetables that like to be next to?

  17. love it! if you put cardboard down (make sure there is no tape on it) before your soil it will kill the grass and then decompose naturally. Makes it much lower maintanence.
