This ponytail palm is super hardy: I had to bannish it to the backyard where it would eventually be discarded due to thrips/scale infestation (unsuccessful eradication after 3 treatments). Checking up on it today, I didn’t see any signs of pests while foliage was still green (i.e. not dead from the cold nights, which is what also killed the pests, I’m guessing). I’m going to bring it back indoors but keep a close eye on it in case any pest eggs hatch in the opportunistic warmer environment of my home. The only reason I’m holding on to this palm is because it was one of my first plants…
