All For Gardening: Help understanding the “Planter” app
F
Why would I inside start a fall vegetable like cabbage in November, but at the same time be safe with direct sow or transplant in June. For reference I’m in zone 9b
My suggestion is “don’t use the app”. Just follow the instructions on the seed packets.

Yeah…uh… that’s gonna be a no from me dawg.

I guess if you start bok choy inside in jan, you can plant in march outside and get some early season bok choy? Seems like a cool idea but it would be very location dependent.

Is it at all possible that the planter app is set for the southern hemisphere? Where January is summer?

You are understanding the app, but the app is wrong. Or maybe the location setting isn’t correct or something.

Thank you all for confirming my suspicions. The app is displaying my location and frost dates correctly but unfortunately is giving bad and conflicting information
