To pick or let grow?

I truly don’t know if I should just go ahead and pick this one or let it continue to grow…I’m a little bummed that it curved because it started out nice and straight. This also is the last cucumber I’ll harvest this season. Definitely going to try a different breed for next season.

Uneven pollination can make them curve like that. Plant some pollinator plants around your cuke patch next spring.

Can’t help you on the “when to pick’, but I’d probably go ahead and eat it. Sometimes the season is just over, and it’s time to move on.

Looks like it’s turning yellow, pick or the paint will stop reproducing.

If it’s your last one of the season, pick if you want to eat. Let grow if you want to harvest the seeds. That’s my advice 🙂

Went ahead and picked it, tried it and it had a bitter bite to it. This probably wasn’t my year for cucumbers 😅

It’s not getting any bigger . It’s gonna split open

Pick it. They get bitter and are good even if they are not fully grown. I have found that cucumbers are kinda like stock markets. Pigs get fed and hogs get slaughtered. Eat them small and enjoy! Over time hone in on the nuance of size and flavor.

Pick. Mine grow like that and slice nicely for pairing with hummus

Inconsistent watering and heat cause it. Pick it so the plant can focus on better fruit later.
