Does anyone know what these are? I found a ton of them in my backyard. They look like underdeveloped cherries but i’m not sure. The insides had seeds and the texture was apple-like.

Do you or a neighbor have a crabapple tree?

They look like rose hips. Roses are related to apples and are high in vitamin C! You can eat the outer flesh/skin but try to avoid the inner part around the seeds, because the little hairs can irritate and cause digestive issues. Also makes a nice tea.

    (Always double check before eating.)

Crabapples. You can use them for jams and jellies
